With the aim of enhancing teaching quality, broadening academic perspectives, and strengthening international collaboration, the Faculty of Business Administration at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) partnered with the Faculty of Economics and Business, University Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED), Indonesia to organize a co-teaching session for the Strategic Management course in Semester 1 of the 2025–2026 academic year.
The session was delivered by two experienced lecturers from the partner institutions: Dr. Piotr Antoni Binkowski – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, UEF, and Prof. Dr. Agus Suroso – Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UNSOED, Indonesia, on December 9, 2025. Their combined expertise provided a comprehensive and engaging approach, making the content more accessible and directly applicable to real-world management practices.
The session took place in a dynamic atmosphere, offering students a multidimensional learning experience that connected modern theory with practical contexts from both countries
The co-teaching session focused on the key topic of Internal & External Analysis—two fundamental pillars in the strategic planning process of organizations. Through various strategic frameworks, such as internal resource assessment, industry analysis, and the identification of opportunities and threats, students were introduced to how businesses in Vietnam and globally navigate competition and make effective strategic decisions.
By integrating theory with real-world examples and case studies from both Indonesia and Vietnam, students gained deeper insights into identifying competitive advantages, evaluating constantly evolving business environments, and understanding how cultural and national factors influence strategic thinking.
The co-teaching session serves as a strong testament to the value of international academic collaboration, where students engage in applied learning enriched by multicultural perspectives. The learning content was revitalized through practical examples from both international and Vietnamese enterprises, enabling UEF students to develop critical thinking skills, ask questions, and actively engage in discussions with lecturers from both institutions.
The activity also lays a solid foundation for expanding future academic collaborations between UEF and UNSOED
More than a standalone academic activity, this co-teaching session reflects the Faculty of Business Administration’s ongoing efforts to internationalize its curriculum and create opportunities for global academic engagement. It also contributes to strengthening sustainable partnerships among universities in the region. FBA-UEF expects this to serve as a foundation for expanding further co-teaching programs, international workshops, and joint academic projects in the future.
