UEF collaborates with ACBSP experts to advance global business accreditation.

On the morning of July 21, UEF welcomed and held a working session with Dr. Kevin Cooney - an expert from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), initiating a series of professional exchange activities aimed at enhancing the quality of training programs according to international standards.

Attending the session on behalf of UEF were Dr. Ly Thien Trang - Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Dr. Ngo Minh Hai - Vice President, alongside leaders of relevant units.

ACBSP is a US-based accreditation council for business schools and programs, as well as the world's largest business program accrediting body recognized by CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation). Since October 18, 2022, UEF officially became an ACBSP member, step by step implementing preparatory activities toward international accreditation for business training programs.

During the first working session, Dr. Kevin Cooney and UEF leaders/unit representatives focused on discussing two out of seven ACBSP accreditation standards: Leadership and Strategic Planning. These serve as foundational standards, providing orientation for constructing, operating, and continuously improving the educational institution's quality of training.

Discussion topics centered on constructing training programs oriented toward enhancing quality for learners; developing effective leadership methods linked to specific measurement and assessment systems; strengthening connections between leadership teams and units to foster collaborative efficiency; while building long-term development strategies alongside clear output quality evaluation systems meeting international accreditation requirements.

Through shared insights from Dr. Kevin Cooney, UEF units gained further basis to review, benchmark, and complete standards as required by ACBSP, contributing to elevating efficiency in quality assurance and training program development.

According to the schedule, Dr. Kevin Cooney will continue working at UEF through July 22 to engage in deep-dive exchanges regarding the remaining standards in the ACBSP accreditation set. This series of activities is expected to assist the University in continuing to refine its quality assurance system, gradually realizing the goal of achieving international accreditation standards for business training programs, affirming UEF's training quality and integration capacity on the global educational map.
