UEF Organizes Session for Talent Program Students Ahead of International Semester in South Korea

On the afternoon of March 24, UEF held an orientation and briefing session for Talent Program students from the 2025 cohort majoring in Business Administration and International Business, in preparation for the international semester in the 2025–2026 academic year. This serves as a crucial step before students officially participate in a four-week international program at Tongmyong University (South Korea), scheduled from July 20 to August 16.

Providing clear orientation for students’ globally integrated learning journey

Attending the session were Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc – Vice President; M.A. Le Dung – Head of the Academic Affairs Office; along with representatives from the International Institute, Faculty of Business Administration, and Faculty of Economics. Their presence offered comprehensive insights, helping students better understand the academic roadmap and the value of the international semester within the training program.
In his remarks, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc emphasized the University’s training orientation for the Talent Program, highlighting that the international semester is a mandatory component designed to expose students to a global learning environment. According to him, this is an opportunity for students to broaden their perspectives, enhance adaptability, and gradually develop global competencies in the context of modern education.

Students were also encouraged to proactively engage in additional international activities organized by the University throughout their studies to gain diverse experiences and develop the necessary competencies to become global citizens.
Following the orientation, M.A. Le Dung provided an overview of the Talent Program’s academic pathway. The detailed information enabled students to better understand their study plans, thereby allowing them to proactively manage their time and prepare the knowledge and skills required to meet program expectations.

Providing detailed information to help students prepare before going abroad

During the in-depth session, representatives from the International Institute and faculty leadership directly addressed students’ questions regarding the upcoming international semester at Tongmyong University. Comprehensive information was provided, including application deadlines, participation costs, and accommodation arrangements at the partner university’s dormitory.
In addition, practical guidance was highlighted to help students better prepare for their journey in South Korea, such as weather conditions, academic regulations, expectations for conduct and discipline, as well as study and living standards in an international environment. Faculty members also emphasized the importance of maintaining a serious learning attitude, actively engaging in cultural exchange, and demonstrating adaptability.
The session was conducted in an open and interactive atmosphere, with active exchanges between students and lecturers. Questions related to procedures, documentation, and studying abroad were thoroughly addressed, helping students gain greater confidence as they prepare for their upcoming journey.

The session enabled Talent Program students to gain a clearer understanding of the upcoming international semester. Early preparation in terms of information, mindset, and skills is considered a key foundation for maximizing learning and experiential opportunities in South Korea.
Within UEF’s training pathway, the international semester serves as a stepping stone for holistic student development, enhancing academic expertise, soft skills, and global mindset. It also lays the groundwork for Talent Program students to confidently step into the international arena, ready to seize future academic and career opportunities.
