03/25/2026

To enhance data processing capabilities for future finance professionals, on the evening of March 17, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting launched phase 2 of the training program "Excel for Future Professionals" with session 1 on the topic “Data Processing - Applying specialized functions and shortcuts to increase data processing speed”. The activity was organized with the goal of helping third year students majoring in Accounting and Auditing equip themselves with advanced functional skills so that they can confidently enter their professional internship period.
Phase 2 of this Excel training program continues to be accompanied by Mr. Đoàn Thanh Tâm Bình, trainer at UniTrain Consulting and Training Company Limited, and also Field Force Effectiveness Manager at Zuellig Pharma.

Students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting continued to receive training in professional Excel usage

The lesson content was designed to closely follow the practical work of future accountants and auditors by integrating skills from basic to advanced levels. Students were guided on how to organize data files, use shortcut key combinations to optimize time, and apply standardized report formatting techniques.

At the beginning of the program, the speaker reminded students to take advantage of smart navigation shortcuts instead of relying on manual mouse operations. For students majoring in Accounting and Auditing, the ability to move quickly between worksheets, accurately select data ranges, and efficiently scan data blocks are essential foundational skills. These operations significantly shorten the time needed to process large trial balance sheets or detailed ledgers, while also minimizing errors when retrieving financial information.

The core content, and also the most important part of the session, focused on solving complex data aggregation problems in reports. The speaker went deeply into the use of the SUMIFS function to filter and total data under multiple conditions simultaneously, which strongly supports the analysis of revenue and expenses by subject or time period.

The training roadmap will continue with session 2 on March 19 and session 3 on March 21, promising to bring more advanced techniques in data analysis and presentation. These practical skills are an important foundation for students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting to make a strong impression with their agility and excellent office computing skills from the very first days of their internship.
