UEF Olympic 2026 officially kicks off, launching an expanded student sports tournament series

On the afternoon of March 13, the UEF campus came alive with the return of the most anticipated sports tournament of the year UEF Olympic. At the opening ceremony, the ceremonial flame of this year’s season was lit, marking the beginning of the athletes’ journey to conquer glory.

 

Olympic UEF 2026 has been expanded in scale as both the number of sports and competition categories have increased. This year’s arena features 9 sports and 15 competition categories, including: Aerobics, Billiards, Football, Basketball, Men’s Volleyball, Badminton, Tug of War, Pickleball, Arena of Valor. Among them, Pickleball is a new sport, appearing for the first time in the UEF student sports tournament.

 

 

Attending the program, on the side of the guests and sponsors were Mr. Châu Ngọc An, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Martial Arts Federation, and Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Hiền, Human Resources Director of Teenie Clinic Co Ltd. Representing UEF were members of the School Council, the Board of Management, and leaders from various units.

 

 

In the opening remarks, Mr. Đỗ Quốc Anh, Vice Chairman of the School Council, emphasized the shared goals of UEF’s annual student sports tournament. With new highlights and an expanded number of competition categories, he also sent his wishes for Olympic UEF 2026 and all athletes to have a truly successful season, competing with full effort in the spirit of becoming stronger, reaching higher, and going farther.

 

 

 

The atmosphere of the ceremony became even more exciting with the parade of athlete delegations from the participating faculties and institutes, along with the referee delegation and UEF sports clubs. Representing the outstanding athletes, student Trần Đăng Khoa, a member of the Vietnam Taekwondo Poomsae Team and a student of the Faculty of Information Technology, lit the traditional torch of Olympic UEF, officially launching a tournament that promises many explosive competitions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Earlier, the Aerobics event had also kicked off with the participation of 7 teams: Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of International Relations, Faculty of Public Relations and Communications, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Marketing, Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management. The professional judging panel included Ms. Nguyễn Anh Minh, national referee, Mr. Phan Thành Lễ, national referee, and Ms. Bùi Ngọc Bích, national referee.

 

 

As a competition category requiring high technical skill, the athletes demonstrated serious preparation and smooth coordination in movements, music, ideas, and performance costumes. The teams brought impressive and engaging performances.

 

 

After evaluation by the professional judging panel, the first medals of Olympic UEF 2026 in the Aerobics event were determined:

 

 

Olympic UEF 2026 opened with many emotions, and the athletes were also energized for the upcoming days of competition. Hopefully, they will have a truly meaningful journey living with sports in this year’s season.
