On March 7th, the Chinese Language Department – Faculty of International Languages and Cultures organized a Company Tour at Portever Shipping Vietnam Co., Ltd., one of the leading companies in the freight forwarding industry. The program was attended by Dr. Luu Boi To and lecturer Lam Minh Huy, along with UEF’s Chinese Language students, providing them with a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and a deeper understanding of a professional working environment.

On the afternoon of March 7th, Chinese Language students visited Portever Shipping Vietnam Co., Ltd.

Founded in 1996, Portever Shipping Vietnam Co., Ltd. is one of the top three Master Consol companies in China, with its headquarters located in Ningbo. The company has a wide network of branches across China and the Vietnamese market, providing professional logistics, maritime transport, and freight forwarding services.

The company’s representatives, including Mr. Sun Cheng Yue – Director, Mr. Jin Zhuohui – Deputy Director, and Ms. Li Huixin – Import Director, shared insights on the company’s development direction, recruitment needs, and attractive benefits for Chinese Language graduates.

Fourth-year Chinese Language student Lam Thien Kim shared: “The meeting helped me better understand the practical requirements of the company and opened up potential job opportunities immediately after graduation. Students here can experience real work processes, from handling documents and tracking orders to communicating with international partners, which enhances skills and builds important professional experience.”

Besides discussing recruitment opportunities, both sides also talked about professional and operational aspects for students, particularly the use of documents and commercial transaction procedures in the logistics field.
