APRIL 14 - UEF Center of Corporate Partnerships collaborated with the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management organized a farewell for 4 students to depart to Japan for their internship. The expanded international internship marked as an advanced step for UEFers in the academic journey, cultural exploration, and language proficiency enhancement.
The farewell had participation of Ms. Nguyen Thai Ha, Deputy Director of the Center of Corporate Partnerships; Mr. Nguyen Viet Thuy, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management; Ms. Le Phuong Cat Nhi, Deputy Dean Faculty of International Relations, together with students’ family, friends, and relatives.
Four more students departed to Japan to embark on the international internship
In this round, four UEF students are participating in the internship program: Mo Thi Nhat Uyen (Class of 2021 – Faculty of International Relations), Khong Xuan Quynh (Class of 2021 – Faculty of International Relations), Nguyen Thi Thao Nhu (Class of 2021 – Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management), and Dinh Ngoc Gia Han (Class of 2022 – Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management). They will begin their 12-month internship journey at Foresta Chokai Hotel, a well-known resort destination located in Akita Prefecture.
During their internship, UEFers will have the opportunity to experience various tasks related to the hospitality industry, such as front desk operations, housekeeping, food and beverage service, fire safety procedures, disaster response, and hygiene management. In addition, they will also get to immerse themselves in Japanese culture, enjoy activities like skiing, participate in cultural exchanges, and study practical Japanese in their native country.
With a wide range of responsibilities requiring diverse skills and good practices, UEFers will need to continuously learn and improve themselves to adapt to the new environment. By the end of the one-year internship in Japan, they are expected to become more confident, capable, and mature—both professionally and personally.

UEF faculty members encouraged and gave advice to the intern students before taking off
Before the students departed for their internships in Japan, the faculty members offered words of encouragement and motivation. Ms. Nguyen Thai Ha emphasized that this is a valuable opportunity for UEFers to learn, develop their skills, and broaden their horizons. In addition, faculty members from various departments encouraged the students to be confident, make the most of this opportunity to grow, and always take pride in the journey they are about to embark on. These uplifting messages gave the students strength and determination as they prepared to take on a new path.
During the farewell ceremony, the faculty members not only shared their encouraging words but also provided important guidance on regulations to ensure an effective internship experience. Communication methods and problem-solving approaches were also highlighted, reaffirming the strong connection between the university, enterprises, and students—bringing peace of mind to the students' families.

The internship in Japan marks a meaningful milestone in the students’ journey of growth. Through hands-on experience in an international environment, UEFers will gain valuable knowledge, sharpen their skills, develop a professional mindset, and gradually build a strong foundation for their future careers. This experience also serves as an important stepping stone, empowering them to move forward with confidence on their career paths ahead.
