25/12/2025
In the context of increasingly deep economic integration and intense competition, with the aim of strengthening the connection between academic knowledge and professional practice for students, on the afternoon of December 24, the Faculty of Law organized a workshop titled “From Law School to Practice: Inside M&A & Project Financing Transactions.”
The program created opportunities for UEF students to access practical knowledge of M&A transactions and project financing through sharing sessions delivered by experienced lawyers. Through this, students strengthened their confidence and gradually shaped their career development roadmap in the legal field.

The workshop provided students with a practical perspective on the M&A sector.
Accompanying the students at the workshop was Lawyer Huỳnh Thị Thu Thủy – Partner at Rajah & Tann LCT Lawyers. The program was also attended by Mr. Vũ Anh Sao, MA – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Dr. Nguyễn Phan Phương Tần – Lecturer at the Faculty of Law.
A representative of the Faculty of Law expressed gratitude for the participation and support of Lawyer Huỳnh Thị Thu Thủy.

With many years of experience in the “Corporate/M&A” and “Banking & Finance” fields, the speaker guided students through the process from research to legal due diligence of documents and files in practice. At the same time, the speaker analyzed in depth the roles and common risks faced by lawyers in M&A transactions. The knowledge shared from a practical perspective helped students better visualize the nature of the work, thereby preparing more appropriately for their future career journeys.
Based on her practical experience in a human resources position at Rajah & Tann LCT Lawyers, the speaker provided UEF students with an overview of career opportunities for newly graduated law students. In addition to professional knowledge, she emphasized the importance of equipping oneself with soft skills and foreign language proficiency to enhance competitiveness in the labor market.

The speaker’s insights helped students consolidate professional knowledge and gain a clearer understanding of the nature of legal work.

Throughout the program, UEF students actively engaged in discussions with the speaker on professional issues in the M&A field, interview experiences at law firms, and the practical requirements of employers. As a result, students gained a stronger basis for clarifying their career orientation and proactively preparing for their future professional paths.

UEF students actively interacted with the speaker, proactively approaching career opportunities while still in university.
The workshop concluded with many practical values, contributing to strengthening professional knowledge and offering a comprehensive view of the legal profession for students. It is hoped that the knowledge shared through the program will become solid preparation, enabling UEF students to apply what they have learned in practice and confidently pursue their career goals.
