UEF Works with Guangxi Minzu University to Expand Cooperation and Promote Educational Internationalization
As higher education increasingly emphasizes global connectivity, international cooperation activities play an important role in improving training quality, expanding academic experiences, and creating a multicultural learning environment for students.
With this orientation, on the morning of November 19, UEF hosted and held a working session with a delegation from the Faculty of Law, Guangxi Minzu University (China), one of the partners with strong potential for cooperation in the fields of law and international education.

Attending the meeting on behalf of Guangxi Minzu University were Prof. Peng Zhen – Vice Dean of the Law School, along with lecturers Ms. Huang Xianqing, Mr. Li Weibo, Mr. Cui Cui, and Mr. Lu Jie. Representing UEF were Associate Professor Dr. Dương Anh Sơn – Dean of the Faculty of Law; Dr. Trần Vang Phủ – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law; Dr. Nguyễn Thị Lan – Vice Dean of the Faculty of International Languages and Cultures; Mr. Nguyễn Nam Trung, MA – Director of the U.S. Law Center; along with lecturers from the Faculty of Law, the Chinese Language program, and students participating in the exchange program.
Currently, UEF is hosting a group of students from Guangxi Minzu University under a short-term exchange program. Therefore, this visit also served as an opportunity for the partner representatives to meet and listen to feedback directly from the students. In the opening session, international students shared their learning and training experiences through a short video, highlighting their participation in law classes, extracurricular activities, and interactions with UEF students.

Representatives of the student group expressed positive impressions of the learning environment at the Faculty of Law, citing diverse course content, highly practical classes, and opportunities to connect with international peers through a bilingual academic environment. Lecturers directly involved in teaching also highly appreciated the seriousness, discipline, and proactive learning attitude of the Chinese students throughout the program.
During the academic exchange session, UEF introduced an overview of the Faculty of Law, emphasizing its strengths in practice-oriented training programs, highly qualified faculty members, an open academic environment, and a roadmap for expanding internationalization in the law discipline. Representatives of Guangxi Minzu University expressed strong impressions of UEF’s training system and integration spirit, while proposing various specific directions for cooperation.
UEF and its partner discuss plans to expand upcoming cooperation programs
Both sides discussed expanding student exchange programs in the future, implementing joint specialized modules or short-term courses, and further developing lecturer exchanges to diversify teaching approaches. In addition, the two institutions explored plans to co-organize academic conferences, encourage lecturers and students to publish research in international journals and conferences, and develop short-term cultural and legal exchange programs to enhance understanding of each country’s legal system and culture.
These initiatives were considered aligned with UEF’s educational internationalization strategy and opened up additional practical cooperation channels for the law discipline, which is increasingly emphasized in the context of globalization.

The working session concluded with many positive cooperation signals. For UEF, this was an opportunity to expand its international partnership network in legal education. The professional exchanges and cooperation orientations between the two institutions contribute to creating more learning, research, and cultural exchange opportunities for students, aiming to build an open, multicultural, and experience-rich educational environment in the near future.
