Cooperation prospects between UEF and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University - Japan

On the morning of February 28, Prof. Kumiko Tsutsui of Education Development and Learning Support Center, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, visited and worked with leaders of UEF’s Faculty of Linguistics and International Cultures for discussion on the "Student Exchange Nippon Discovery" (SEND) program.

SEND is part of the "Global Human Resources Development" program initiated by the Japanese Ministry of Education. By sending students on internship abroad of Japanese language teaching or cultural exchanges, the program aims to facilitate Japanese students’ self-development and promote the nation’s image and culture to international friends.

Joining this year's program, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) chose Vietnam as their destination and sent 3 students to exchange and attend Japanese teaching internship at UEF from February 18, 2019 to March 15, 2019.

Through the daily reports of APU students during their time at UEF, Prof. Kumiko Tsutsui highly appreciated UEF's cooperation and support within the SEND program. APU students were allowed to audit lectures, join as teaching assistants in Japanese language classes, and participate in many Japanese-Vietnamese cultural exchange activities with UEF students.
