The 2023 Korea Study Abroad Fair at UEF with the attendance of 20 universities

SEPTEMBER 16 - The Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Korea Study Abroad Fair took place at UEF to provide Vietnamese students with information about studying abroad in Korea along with those who are majoring in Korean Language or currently studying Korean. The event lasted for two days (September 16-17) with the participation of 20 Korean universities and Korean agents for studying abroad.

The opening ceremony honorably had the presence of Mr. Shin Choong Il - Consul General, Consulate General of South Korea in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Kil Ho Jin - Director, the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City; and Mr. Kim Daniel - Deputy Director, the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President, Director of UEF International Institute; and Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh - Deputy Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures participated on UEF’s behalf.

The event also featured representatives of 20 universities in Korea including Ulsan College University, Seojeong University, Korea University of Media Arts, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, Korea University, Kyung Hee University, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, University of Seoul, Hongik University, Ewha Womans University, Chung-Ang University, Konkuk University, Kyungpook National University, Keimyung University, Mokpo National Maritime University, Catholic University of Busan, Dongmyeong University, Kyungdong University, Kyungil University, and Soongsil Cyber ​​University.
 

Rewarding students for their remarkable achievements in competitions organized by the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City


Speaking at the event, Mr. Shin Choong Il - Consul General, Consulate General of South Korea in Ho Chi Minh City considered the event to be an opportunity for universities in Korea to provide information and consult on hand for its potential international students. The Consulate General of South Korea in Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City and Korean universities, committed to opening up new learning opportunities, having more Vietnamese students receive the best education in Korea. 
 

Students were given consultation on studying abroad at Korean universities


Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President, Director of UEF International Institute also shared UEF's goal of internationalizing education and the orientation of building a global citizen image for students. Through this occasion, students may grasp opportunities to study abroad in Korea and access an advanced education.

Students raised questions about studying abroad in Korea  


At the event, students learned about life in Korea through the sharing from guests and were also instructed on how to complete administrative procedures and apply for a student visa in Korea.

Moreover, students experience Korean culture through many interesting activities, namely wearing Hanboks, folding paper Hanboks, drawing on Korean fans, enjoying boiled eggs, and drinking rice water in a Korean way.  
 

Many interesting activities were held 


The program brought essential details on studying abroad in Korea. Hopefully, with the useful information above, students who wish to study in the land of Kimchi can build a thorough study plan and soon achieve their goal of going abroad.
