On the morning of 24th, September, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) solemnly organized the launch of the joint bachelor's program with Leeds Trinity University - UK. (LTU) at the Auditorium.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Neill James – Deputy Consul General, British Consulate-General Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Tran Phuoc Anh - Deputy Director, Ho Chi Minh City Department of External Relations, Prof. Ray Lloyd - Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University. On UEF’s side there are Dr. Nguyen Thanh Giang - President, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics & Finance, PhD. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics & Finance, together with heads of the departments, faculties and first-year students studying the international bachelor’s program at UEF.

At his opening speech, PhD. Do Huu Nguyen Loc shared: “Although UEF is a relatively young university, there are international academic programs in joint with prestigious UK institutes. This is the confirmation of the development of the international studying environment at UEF.”Mr. Tran Phuoc Anh - Deputy Director, Ho Chi Minh City Department of External Relations also sent a message to the new UEF international students: “I believe the cooperation between the two universities will create momentum for the development of the relationship between the two countries. This is an opportunity for the young Vietnamese to access the reputable education of the UK standard. Hopefully, the students who are living in an era of globalization will develop their expertise and competences professionally, and become global citizens, contributing to the development of our country”.
Mr. Neill James - Deputy Consul General, British Consulate-General Ho Chi Minh City in Ho Chi Minh City said: “With the cooperation today, you have the opportunity to access advanced British education. I hope you will enjoy the best of this affiliate program to create new potential young generations for Vietnam”.

Professor Ray Lloyd - Vice President of Leeds Trinity University highly appreciated the cooperation between the two universities and hoped to bring international education opportunities to UEF students in particular and Vietnamese students in general. He also expressed his expectation that the first classes of Leeds Trinity University's bachelor program in UEF will be a dynamic and creative generations to contribute greatly to the country's development.
According to Dr Do Huu Nguyen Loc, LTU cooperates with UEF to launch the UK Bachelor’s program, which opens opportunities of UK-standard education right at UEF or abroad to receive an international degree. The lectures and seminars are conducted by a team of experienced professors of LTU and UEF with advanced methodologies, which enhances student’s creativity and capability. The courses are completely in English and the class size does not exceed 25 students/class.
Besides professional knowledge, practical skills training through various workshops and field study is deployed throughout the academic programs, helping students to adapt and cope well with their chosen career paths. Those practices boost their confidence and intellect to express themselves in an international environment.
