UEF signs MOU with 44 universities in Accounting and Finance from Indonesia and Malaysia

JANUARY 11 - UEF organized an MOU signing ceremony with 44 universities and higher institutions in the field of accounting from Indonesia and Malaysia. These institutions are part of the Association of Indonesian Accounting Lecturers (ADAI). This organization is a bridge for faculty members in the domains of accounting, auditing, and finance to exchange knowledge and enhance cross-national expertise. 





UEF welcomed 44 universities from Indonesia and Malaysia for the MOU signing
 
Attending the signing ceremony were Ms. Eva Kurniati Situmorang, Consul for Education, Social and Cultural Affairs, Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. Arfan Ikhsan - Chairman of ADAI, and representatives from the 44 partner universities.

The distinguished guests participated in this event including Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Hong Xuan - President of the Vietnam-Southeast Asia Friendship Association. On the side of UEF were Mr. Do Quoc Anh - Vice Chairman, Board of Directors, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President and Director, UEF International Institute, Dr. Ngo Minh Hai - Vice President, Board of Presidents, Dr. Ha Thi Thuy - Dean, Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Dr. Tang My Sang - Deputy Dean, Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Deputy Dean, Faculty of Finance and Accounting along with the representatives from other units. 



Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc delivered a welcome speech to the partner delegation

In his welcome speech, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President and Director of UEF International Institute, delivered greetings to the partner delegation and provided an overview of UEF. He stressed the importance of international programs and expressed his hope for many high-quality collaborations between UEF and the partner institutions following the signing.



Dr. Arfan Ikhsan, ADAI Chairman, emphasized the values of cooperation relationship with UEF

On behalf of ADAI, Dr. Arfan Ikhsan shared: "ADAI has a regular program called the international study tour. This visit to UEF is the fourth time the program has been conducted with participants from provinces and cities all over Indonesia. One form of this activity is the signing of Memoranda of Understanding between Indonesian Universities and UEF. As an educator contributing to society, we also organize international community service activities with themes of Entrepreneurship Training and Accounting for Entrepreneurs, to enhance start-up motivation, help the young find business ideas, build business plans, and give them instruction for financial reports in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). We hope this event can contribute profound insights, and economic and accounting development strategies to society."

The collaboration agreement focuses on exchanging faculty members, operating tours to connect and exchange in research and teaching, arranging student exchange and study abroad programs, expanding opportunities for scientific research collaboration; implementing joint teaching programs and workshops, as well as promoting other academic cooperation as the mutual agreement. These activities are particularly focused on Accounting-Auditing-Finance.

Following the signing, Ms. Eva Kurniati Situmorang - Consul for Education, Social and Cultural Affairs, Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City, congratulated UEF, ADAI, and the member Universities. She emphasized that this milestone is an important premise of creating many benefits and quality programs for students.

After the signing, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting had a discussion on the faculty's activities and cooperation directions with ADAI member Universities. Topics of student mobility programs, co-teaching, coorperation programs, and field-trips were actively discussed.

In the afternoon, the partner delegation participated in activities with the UEF Center of Service-Learning and attended specialized classes of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting.

This signing ceremony is a significant milestone, propelling UEF further in its strategy to internationalize education, train global citizens, strive for international quality standards, and, more importantly, provide high-quality training programs for students, it also contributes to bonding multidimensional relationships between Vietnam and Indonesia.
