In addition to partnerships with countries in Europe and the Americas, UEF is also enhancing educational collaboration with developed Asian nations, particularly China. The university consistently organizes cultural exchange activities, academic competitions, international study programs, and student exchange opportunities with prestigious Chinese universities.
Building on this spirit, in the upcoming academic year, UEFers will have the chance to participate in exchange programs with Guangxi University for Nationalities, Guangxi University, and QuFu Normal University, facilitated by the UEF International Institute.
With the opportunity to study at these historically rich universities in China, UEF students are expected to gain invaluable experiences and absorb the educational “essence” of this advanced country, fostering a spirit of learning and affirming their readiness to integrate into the global community.
By participating in this student exchange program, UEFers will have the opportunity to experience China’s rich culture and advanced educational system. Students will live and study in a diverse environment that will help them improve their language skills, broaden their specialized knowledge, and build international connections. Along with gaining access to modern teaching methods, students will also have the chance to explore famous landmarks and gain deep insights into the history, customs, and traditions of the world's most populous country.
To qualify for this “study abroad” opportunity, students must meet certain academic and language requirements. Once selected, the three Chinese universities will confirm the list of accepted students, providing 100% tuition support. Specifically, Guangxi University for Nationalities will accept 5 students per semester, Guangxi University will accept 4 students per semester, and Qufu Normal University will accept 5 students per semester.
This program is designed for third-year or higher students majoring in Chinese Language, with courses beginning in February 2025 and running continuously for about 24 weeks (equivalent to six months).
Students will register for the equivalent of 3-6 courses at the three universities, which will be credited as equivalent courses at UEF upon their return, following the university’s regulations. They will also receive a certificate of participation in the student exchange program at these three Chinese universities.
Academic results from Guangxi University for Nationalities, Guangxi University, and Qufu Normal University will serve as a basis for determining the continuation of enrollment scholarships for the following academic year (if applicable). For students who do not wish to have their study results abroad recognized under the exchange program, their tuition fees for the semester at UEF will be preserved and carried over to the following semester.
Please note that students selected for this international exchange program must pay an application fee of 5,000,000 VND, in accordance with the tuition and fee structure for international programs for the 2024-2025 academic year.
QuFu Normal University is one of UEF's strategic partners in educational initiatives. The two institutions signed an MOU in June 2023, marking the start of various collaborative programs. UEF has also facilitated international exchange programs, enabling students to study at QuFu Normal University. Located in Shandong Province and established in 1955, QuFu Normal University is the oldest and largest regional comprehensive university in the area, with a rich history and extensive resources.
Previously, UEF and Guangxi University for Nationalities collaborated on multiple programs, including online cultural experiences, offering students insights into Chinese culture. These sessions featured practical lessons on traditional Chinese arts, such as knot-making, martial arts, paper cutting, and ink painting, providing UEF students with immersive cultural experiences.
Guangxi University, another prominent UEF partner, is a public university established in 1928 in Nanning, Guangxi Province. In 1999, it was designated as one of China’s top 100 key universities. Located in Nanning, known as the "Green City" and the capital of Guangxi, it is the oldest and largest university in the province and the only one included in the national "Project 211," aimed at elevating educational quality in China. Over its 90 years of development, Guangxi University has continuously advanced scientific and technical education and improved its facilities to support education throughout Guangxi.
For UEF, exchange programs and international semesters have become a signature feature, providing students with ample opportunities to study abroad at prestigious Chinese universities. These partnerships reflect UEF's commitment to offering its students enriching academic and cultural experiences.
