06/12/2026

To strengthen the connection between academic knowledge and corporate practice, in Semester 2B of the 2025 - 2026 academic year, the Faculty of Business Administration organized a series of thematic seminar reports for students. With the participation of experts and managers from various fields, the program brought updated perspectives on strategic management, digital transformation, human resource management, and leadership arts in the modern business context.

Knowing how to adapt in a volatile business context

In the Strategic Management course, students met Mr. Vo Minh Quân - Consulting and Training Expert of the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Project Board for Integration Standards, with the topic "Strategic Management - Opportunities and Challenges of Enterprises in the Current Context."

From a professional perspective, the speaker introduced the 6 steps in the strategic management cycle, including: analyzing the business environment through tools such as SWOT and PESTEL; defining vision, mission, and core values; establishing strategic objectives; formulating strategies; implementation; as well as monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting when necessary. In addition, students learned about the functional strategic ecosystem in enterprises, linking key areas such as marketing, production, finance, human resources, and research and development (R&D).

The speaker helps students clearly understand the 6 steps in the strategic management cycle.

Notably, the speaker analyzed outstanding challenges that businesses are facing through the "5 life-and-death problems in the marketplace," including exchange rate fluctuations, supply chain disruptions from the Red Sea region, increasingly strict green development standards, interest rate pressures, and fluctuations in the gold and retail markets. From there, students had the opportunity to access economic issues directly impacting production and business activities today.

Furthermore, the speaker summarized the 5 pillars of modern strategic thinking: adaptation and flexibility; customer-centricity; green and sustainable development; strengthening linkages and cooperation; and innovating business models. Through many practical situations and corporate case studies, students practiced their ability to analyze, evaluate, and build strategic mindsets in a business context full of opportunities but also filled with challenges.

Changing mindsets before changing corporate technology

With the Digital Transformation course, the topic "Current Status of Digital Transformation Activities at Enterprises: Difficulties, Challenges, and Benefits Achieved by Enterprises when Implementing Digital Transformation" was presented by Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh - Southern Customer Relations Director of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT).

The current status of digital transformation at enterprises is clarified by speaker Chi Thanh.

The speaker helped students perceive digital transformation not simply as technology application but as a comprehensive process of changing management mindsets, operational models, and corporate culture. Besides the benefits of process optimization, operational efficiency enhancement, and customer experience improvement, businesses also face many challenges such as investment costs, human resources, team adaptability, and data security.

These shares from practical implementation at enterprises helped students better understand the role of digital transformation in sustainable development strategies as well as digital capability requirements for the future workforce.

Well-being becomes a strategy to retain talent

In the Human Resource Management course, students participated in the seminar "Well-being - The Secret to Retaining Talent" presented by Mr. Tran Hong Phuc - Talent Development Manager of ACFC.

The speaker emphasized that in an increasingly competitive labor market, businesses do not just care about salary and bonus regimes but also focus on building a positive working environment, balancing work and life, and taking care of both the physical and mental health of employees.

Speaker Hong Phuc analyzes the "Well-being" strategy for enterprises to retain talent.

The concept of “Well-being” was analyzed from multiple angles such as health, emotions, relationships, career development opportunities, and the feeling of being recognized within the organization. According to the speaker, this is one of the important factors helping to increase engagement, improve work performance, and retain high-quality personnel in the long term.

Through the topic, students gained a modern perspective on human resource management, especially the trend of taking a human-centric approach in business development strategies.

Inspiring and leading Gen Z in the digital era

In the Art of Leadership course, Mr. Tran THE Trung - Training and Organizational Development Director of KOG - KINERA Group brought the topic "The Art of Inspiring Leadership in the Digital Era and Gen Z."

The speaker stated that one of the major challenges for leaders today is bridging the generation gap and adapting to changes in the mindset and expectations of the Gen Z workforce. In addition to professional competence, leaders need to develop the ability to inspire, communicate effectively, and build an open working environment to unleash the potential of the team.

Speaker The Trung shares the art of leading Gen Z in the digital era.

The program also introduced modern leadership trends such as Data-driven Leadership—a leadership style based on data and information analysis to make more effective decisions—or T-Shaped Leadership, a leadership model combining deep expertise and cross-functional collaboration capabilities to adapt to increasingly common interdisciplinary working environments.

At the same time, the speaker also emphasized the importance of a flexible mindset and the capability to lead change, qualities considered the foundation of a leader in a continuously fluctuating business context.

In addition to the reporting sessions on specialized knowledge, students also took part in practical learning through corporate field trips. In this semester, they had the opportunity to visit Kim Oanh Group, the Ajinomoto factory, and the Yakult factory to gather information, learn about operational processes, and better visualize their career path picture.

Through the practical and meaningful seminar report series in Semester 2B, students of the Faculty of Business Administration were not only updated with new trends in the management field but also had the opportunity to listen to practical experiences from experts directly operating and developing enterprises. This serves as an important bridge helping them apply learned knowledge into reality, while better preparing for their future professional environments.
