FBA Mentoring UEF 2025 Wrap-up: Entrepreneurial Insights as a Launchpad for Gen Z’s Future

01/27/2026
In every student’s journey of self-discovery, if academic knowledge serves as the foundation, then real-world experiences and guidance from experienced professionals act as a vital compass to navigate an ever-changing labor market. Understanding that personal growth extends beyond textbooks to include practical exposure and knowledge transfer, the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) has continuously emphasized building strong connections between the University and industry.

After six months of dedicated implementation, on the evening of January 23rd, the Faculty held the Gala Ceremony to conclude and express appreciation for the Mentoring FBA - UEF 2025 program. More than just a closing event, the ceremony served as a meaningful space where the values of sharing and contribution were fully recognized.

The journey has recorded numerous positive outcomes, reflected in both the widespread impact of the program and the remarkable growth of students

The event welcomed the participation of university leaders, faculty representatives, mentors who are entrepreneurs and industry experts, along with more than 30 mentees who had persistently pursued their personal development journey throughout the program.

Over the six-month period, the Mentoring 2025 program recorded 242 meetings, including 173 in-depth one-on-one mentoring sessions and 69 cross-mentoring sessions, along with 300 reflection posts generating more than 4,700 interactions.

In her remarks at the ceremony, Dr. Nhan Cam Tri delivered insightful reflections on the transformation of student generations through this mentoring model. She emphasized that the most significant value lies in students’ growth in mindset and career orientation: “Throughout the process, the University has clearly observed that students’ maturity is the most valuable outcome. Through direct interaction and learning from experienced entrepreneurs, students have learned how to plan their futures in a realistic manner, aligned with their own capabilities rather than pursuing impractical aspirations. The mentoring program significantly shortens the path to personal and professional growth. Lessons that would otherwise take years of trial and error are now accessible to students while they are still at university. This enables them to avoid unnecessary mistakes and progress more quickly and confidently in their career paths.”

He further highlighted that the sustainability of the program lies in the relationships that extend beyond the six-month duration. These connections represent a boundless linkage between the University and industry, as well as between experienced professionals and the next generation, where values of dedication and social responsibility are naturally fostered and sustained.

Accompanying the project, Ms. Dang Thu Huong - representative of the Social Golden Time (SGT) organization, highly appreciated the faculty's self-management capabilities: “The program has been transferred and operated effectively based on the strong internal strength of the UEF faculty team. A model is only truly successful when it becomes a sustainable ecosystem so that today's Mentees, after achieving success, return to mentor the next generation. That is the cycle of knowledge and kindness.”

Dr. Ly Dan Thanh stated that the Faculty of Business Administration is inheriting this model with “Alumni Mentoring”

In the context of a highly demanding labor market, the Mentoring FBA - UEF 2025 program has effectively addressed the gap in practical experience for students. Beyond skill development, the program plays a crucial role in shaping students’ mindset. Through a one-on-one mentoring model with industry experts, students are placed in a “simulated real-world environment” that is both supportive and challenging.

Each piece of advice from mentors represents distilled professional experience, enabling mentees to integrate both academic knowledge and practical insights. This connection serves as a strong driving force, helping UEF students build confidence and develop valuable professional networks, an intangible asset that significantly contributes to long-term career success.

For UEF students, the past six months have marked a breakthrough journey in confronting their personal limitations. For Hoang Thi Tu Uyen, the greatest achievement was overcoming her shyness: “With the encouragement of my mentor, I am no longer hesitant to speak in front of others. This may seem like a ‘small victory,’ but it serves as the most important foundation for me to confidently step out into the world.”

This journey has helped me understand what I am striving for and move forward with greater clarity and direction.” Despite some regrets regarding unfulfilled commitments, Tran Phuc An still affirmed that the experience marked a “new chapter” filled with hope, supported by tangible achievements gained throughout the program.
