FBA Students Explore the Business Ecosystem in Vinh Long

12/23/2025
Within the framework of the Company Tour series under the “Green Works - Green Consumption” program for the 2025-2026 period, students from the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Economics and Finance - UEF, particularly research student groups, participated in a meaningful field trip to Tan Xuan Commune, Vinh Long Province on December 11th, 2025. The trip was initiated by the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Business Association, with coordination from the BSA Center and BSAS, and the companionship of Duy Tan Recycling.

The Company Tour was designed to introduce and connect green business models, circular economy practices, and sustainable development initiatives. It serves as a direct bridge linking enterprises within the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods ecosystem, green startups, universities, lecturers, students, as well as media and research communities. Beyond site visits, the program facilitates multidimensional dialogue among businesses, academia, farmers, and journalists, laying the foundation for future research and development (R&D), human resource training, and communication on sustainable business models.

UEF students learn about sustainable business not only through textbooks but also through real-world experiences during the Company Tour in Tan Xuan, where businesses, communities, and culture collectively create long-term value

The destination of the trip was Tan Xuan Commune, Vinh Long Province (formerly Ba Tri, Ben Tre), where the “Business Ecosystem - New Lifestyle” model is being developed. This model harmoniously integrates production, business, education, training, experiential tourism, sustainable agriculture, and local cultural creativity. During the program, students explored several representative enterprises within the ecosystem, including Phu Le Liquor Joint Stock Company, VinaEcolife, Biz Educo, and Lac Dia Sustainable Agriculture Cooperative - organizations that are collaboratively building a development model rooted in local values and long-term sustainability.

Accompanying the students, Dr. Huynh Nhut Nghia, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, emphasized the role of enterprises in sustainable development: “Businesses do not only serve the market but must also take responsibility for the community. Developing Vietnamese liquor brands from local values toward international markets is a clear demonstration of a sustainable development mindset associated with cultural identity.”

Through the Company Tour, students of the Faculty of Business Administration had the opportunity to observe sustainable business models in practice-from production processes and brand building to community engagement. They gained a deeper understanding of how enterprises leverage local cultural values to create competitive advantages. As a result, FBA students were able to approach circular economy thinking, where the environment and community serve as the foundation for long-term development. More importantly, the trip provided valuable practical input for students’ scientific research projects, management courses, and academic assignments throughout their studies at UEF.

Sharing about the trip, Ngo Quang Binh, a second-year student majoring in Business Administration, stated: “The Company Tour helped me better understand that businesses not only generate profits but also bear responsibility toward the communities in which they operate. I was particularly impressed by how enterprises in Tan Xuan connect production, local culture, and people’s livelihoods. The stories shared about traditional liquor and about developing brands based on real customer needs provided me with very practical perspectives for my studies and research.”

Prior to visiting Tan Xuan, the Company Tour series had taken students and lecturers to explore various business models such as Vina T&T, Duy Tan Recycling, Tam Lan Tea, and Tafuco Packaging. This demonstrates a consistent orientation in connecting green enterprises with the education and research ecosystem.

For the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Economics and Finance - UEF, the Company Tour is not merely an experiential activity but also a “living data source” that supports teaching, scientific research, and student training toward application-oriented, sustainable, and globally integrated development.
