1. Overview
T
he Faculty of Information Technology offers five undergraduate programs:
  1. Information Technology
  2. E-commerce
  3. Data Science
  4. Graphic Design
  5. Software Engineering
  6. Cybersecurity
2. Vision, Mission, and Core Values
Vision:
The Faculty of Information Technology aims to become a key technology faculty at UEF, a hub for new technologies, and one of the top faculties in Vietnam in training and research in Information Technology. The faculty strives to educate successful graduates who are ready to contribute to society.
Mission:
Based on the goals and mission of the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City (UEF), the faculty’s mission is to:
  • Train high-quality human resources in Information Technology, E-commerce, Data Science, and Graphic Design to meet real social needs and support global integration.
  • Build an academic environment that supports free learning and research, helping learners develop in a well-rounded, active, and creative way.
  • Conduct research, development, and application of science and technology by using strengths in IT, data science, and e-commerce.
  • Take the lead in reaching regional and global higher education standards, and actively contribute to improving practical working skills, professionalism, and social responsibility through close connections with businesses and the community.

4. Strategic Development Plan of the Faculty of Information Technology
The Faculty of Information Technology’s strategic development plan for the 2015–2025 period was designed by the faculty leadership with the following goals:
  1. Develop the faculty into a core unit for training and in-depth research in Information Technology.
  2. Develop and strengthen the capacity of faculty staff and lecturers in both quantity and quality, meeting society’s needs and international integration, while enhancing UEF’s brand and the faculty’s position within the university.
  3. Develop academic programs, improve the quality of teaching materials, and innovate teaching methods.
  4. Build a creative academic environment that attracts students to study and conduct research in science and technology.
  5. Improve the quality of the faculty’s programs to meet high standards under national and regional accreditation, and gradually move the faculty into the top group for graduate employability rankings.
  6. Rapidly and sustainably develop human resources, standardize and improve the quality of faculty staff and lecturers to meet the requirements for better training quality, management, scientific research, technology transfer, and community service, in line with the university’s human resource strategy
5. Training Objectives
Provide students with strong foundational knowledge and in-depth knowledge in their majors. Along with academic knowledge, skills are emphasized and integrated throughout the whole training process.

UEF Faculty of Information Technology students are equipped with knowledge, skills, and a strong sense of independence and responsibility to integrate well after graduation.

After graduation, students will have good ethical qualities and communication skills, be proficient in a foreign language, have strong teamwork spirit, and be able to create jobs for themselves and others.

They regularly take part in networking workshops and real-life visits to businesses.
The training program is built around five main groups of courses: Foreign Languages, Social Knowledge, Personal Development, Professional Education, and Industrial Internship. This structure helps students adapt well to work in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural environment after graduation.
Besides the official curriculum, students can also join academic clubs, Youth Union and student association activities, cultural and sports events, and professional or academic competitions to improve their knowledge, skills, independence, and sense of responsibility. These activities help students develop in a well-rounded way to meet the expectations of a global citizen.



Taking part in Youth Union and student association activities, as well as cultural and sports events, helps students develop professional skills in a well-rounded way.
Students in the faculty study in a dynamic and modern environment, with one of the best campus facilities among universities and colleges, and a dedicated teaching staff with strong expertise and extensive teaching experience.

7. Facilities and Training Equipment
Students of the Faculty of Information Technology study and practice with specialized equipment, including nearly 1,000 computers for learning and hands-on practice, advanced networking lab devices, and free Internet access on campus. The faculty also provides a library system with a wide range of specialized books and e-books to support learning and research.
