FACULTY OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT (FHTM) OVERVIEW

 

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) was established on September 24, 2007, under Decision No. 1272/QD-TTg by the Prime Minister. With a strategic focus on the internationalization of education, UEF continuously enhances its training quality, emphasizing the comprehensive development of academic competence, professional skills, and creative thinking for students.

Within the university’s academic ecosystem, the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management (FHTM) plays a pivotal role in supplying high-quality human resources for the service sector which is a dynamic and high-potential industry in Vietnam and the region.

The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management is committed to its mission of educating high-quality human resources in the tourism and service sectors, including Travel Services, Hospitality, and Restaurant Management, to meet societal demands and support global integration. The Faculty fosters an academic environment that promotes intellectual freedom and research, enabling learners to develop comprehensively as dynamic and creative individuals. In addition, the Faculty emphasizes the development of practical competencies, professionalism, and a strong sense of social responsibility through close collaboration with industry partners and the broader community.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

At UEF, the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management focuses on three major disciplines with highly practical curricula:

  1. Tourism and Travel Management

  2. Hospitality Management

  3. Restaurant and Culinary Management

Students at FHTM are trained under an international bilingual program, with 50% of the curriculum delivered in English. This educational model not only facilitates rapid integration into a multicultural international environment but also comprehensively enhances foreign language proficiency.
