Overview of UEF’s notable international activities in 2022

The year 2022 marks an important milestone when UEF celebrates 15 years of prosperous development. The university has made accomplishments in various areas. Notably, UEF’s international activities have achieved resounding successes and showcased the integration of the young university full of progress.
On the path to international standard and recognition, UEF has received numerous memorable honors, especially reaching 4-star QS rating. This is the testament to the university’s relentless effort during the past 15 years.

Obtaining QS 4-star rating was one of UEF’s notable international accomplishments in 2022

May 14 - UEF announced the achievement of 4-star QS rating (QS Stars Certificate Award Ceremony) based on UK standard (QS - Quacquarelli Symonds) - one of the world-renowned university ranking organizations alongside Times Higher Education (THE) and Academic Ranking of World University (ARWU). On November 18, UEF was also awarded the QS Stars Certificate (original) by QS in Jakarta, Indonesia with the presence and congratulation from various universities across the word.
UEF had undertaken rigorous, independent and precise assessment procedures under QS Stars’s set of standards including 8 metrics to evaluate the university’s main activities. On the first assessment, UEF had outstandingly obtained a 5-star QS rating for these specific criteria : teaching, employability, facilities and inclusiveness.
UEF became a member of ACBSP in October 2022

In addition, on October 18, UEF officially became a member of ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs) - the US. This is the largest global business education accrediting body, recognised by CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation) - the US.
Attaining international accreditation has laid a solid foundation for UEF to expand its international partnership with greater diversity and quality. This year, UEF also signed MOUs with prestigious universities worldwide from Japan, Malaysia, the UK, the US, Finland, India, etc.

UEF’s international articulation programs also celebrated a huge landmark with the graduation of the second-batch students of Gloucestershire Bachelor’s Programme - the UK. This batch recorded 85 graduates from 2 majors: Business and Marketing Management (69 students), English Language and Linguistics (26 students), of which 14.1% graduated with First-class honors, while 60% got Upper Second-class honors.

July 2022 - three UEFers were granted scholarships to join the international course “Sustainability & Innovation Short-term Immersion program” at Arizona State University - the US (ASU). In September 2022, UEF attended the semester abroad program at Chungbuk University, Busan University of Foreign Studies, Keimyung University - Korea. Furthermore, in December, UEFers took part in another program at University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) as well as visited well-known enterprises in Thailand.

Regarding students’ activities, UEF also left multiple impressions on international stages from beauty contests to sport events. In particular, UEF student - Tran Hoai Phuong was awarded the title of “Miss Eco Asia” at Miss Eco International 2022. More recently, students from UEF were selected to attend the International Esport Festival (IEF) and acquired valuable experiences from international friends. Notably, UEF team outstandingly reached the semi-final and secured fourth place in the Fifa Online 4 category.

This year, UEF continued to welcome international exchange students. In these events, UEFers met with students from Dongseo University, Soon Chun Hyang University - Korea as well as Kinki University, Teikyo University - Japan. These activities provided UEFes the opportunities to learn, experience diverse cultures as well as enhanced their language proficiency.

UEF’s international activities have undeniably left various imprints throughout 2022. This sets the stage for more connection, development and accomplishment for the university in the new year 2023.
