UEF Youth Union – In the Era of Rising: Dialogue, Reflection, and Self-Positioning

24/06/2025
“Youth are the backbone of the nation” – a message from President Ho Chi Minh nearly a century ago continues to be the guiding principle for nurturing and educating the younger generation.
Throughout history, Vietnamese youth have always played a pioneering role on all fronts – from defending the Fatherland to building the country in times of peace. To continue this tradition and foster a sense of responsibility among young people in the era of global integration, on the evening of June 23, the UEF Faculty of Law organized a forum with the theme “The Role of Youth in the Nation’s Era of Rising.”
The forum was accompanied by Mr. Trinh Hoai Nam – Former Vice Chairman of the UEF Student Union.
Inspiring Dialogue and Open Exchange
The forum created an inspiring space for dialogue and opened students’ minds towards international integration. Drawing from his own journey of training and growth through activities of the Youth Union and Student Union at UEF, Mr. Nam shared motivational stories about perseverance, commitment, and a sense of responsibility among young people. He affirmed that “No path for youth is easy, but it is through challenges that we learn to rise and grow.”

From this, he conveyed an important message to students: hold fast to your ideals, don’t fear starting from small beginnings, and always align personal development with the benefit of the community.
Youth Perspectives on “Rising in the New Era”
Beyond personal sharing, the forum opened a lively exchange centered around the theme “The Nation’s Era of Rising.” According to Mr. Hoai Nam, this era is a period in which the country is emerging strongly, transforming comprehensively from economic and scientific growth to enhanced international stature. In such a time, youth are called to be creators, not merely followers in the rapid march of development.
UEF students also expressed their own viewpoints:
For law students, “rising” means contributing to the creation of a just and transparent society;
For the younger generation, it means mastering knowledge, shaping one’s future, and contributing a Vietnamese voice to global issues.
Engaging Questions and Confidence Building

Equipping UEFers for the Journey Ahead
The forum’s atmosphere became increasingly vibrant as students raised numerous questions about life ideals, how to position themselves in modern society, and how to maximize the role of youth in the digital age. Each response from the speaker was not only grounded in real experience but also offered encouragement – helping young people become more confident, resilient, and ready to contribute to the nation’s development.
Through this interactive activity, UEF students gained clearer insight into the roles of youth in the new era. The event also served as an opportunity for UEFers to solidify their awareness, shape their ideals, and proactively prepare the necessary tools to accompany the nation’s development in its era of rising.
