Law Students Foster Academic Thinking Through a Workshop on Scientific Research Skills

06/11/2025
Continuing the journey of equipping students with knowledge and skills in scientific research, the UEF Faculty of Law, in collaboration with the Youth Union, the Law Students’ Association, and the ILC – Integrity Law Club, organized the second session of the workshop titled “Methods and Skills for Scientific Research for Law Students” on the afternoon of November 6, with the participation of Dr. Trần Vang Phủ, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law. In addition to delivering valuable knowledge, he also directly shared guidance and provided feedback to student research groups.

The workshop provided valuable knowledge to help students develop their scientific research topics

During the workshop, Dr. Trần Vang Phủ focused on guiding students in clearly defining the scope of their research, including the content, timeframe, and spatial context of the topic, ensuring consistency with the research title, research subjects, and research objectives. He also presented in detail the structure of a scientific research project, helping students understand the logical connections between sections and how to develop their arguments in a scientific and persuasive manner.

Dr. Trần Vang Phủ provided direct guidance and feedback on each student research topic

Beyond theoretical instruction, Dr. Trần Vang Phủ devoted time to offering specific feedback to each student group based on the research topics they are currently developing. Every critical comment and insightful suggestion helped students gain a deeper understanding of the practical relevance, feasibility, and academic value of their projects.
Through this process, students not only refined their research work but also strengthened their critical thinking, analytical skills, and legal reasoning abilities—essential competencies in the field of law.
This workshop marked an important continuation in the series of academic activities organized by the UEF Faculty of Law, contributing to the promotion of a spirit of research, exploration, and creativity among students. With dedicated guidance from faculty members, students will grow increasingly confident in their journey to pursue knowledge and develop advanced research capabilities.
