In order to improve the scientific research capacity of students in specific aspects in the legal field, help them orient the development process for their projects, on the morning of November 14, the Faculty of Law held a training session "Scientific research methods and skills for Law students".
With research and teaching experience, Dr. Tran Vang Phu - Lecturer of the Faculty of Law, Deputy Director of the Branch of the Vietnam APEC International Commercial Arbitration Center has brought UEFers a lot of useful knowledge about scientific research. Based on practical issues, he helped UEF Law students better understand how to carry out an effective legal research project.
The speaker gave students tips to carry out scientific research topics

At the beginning of the sharing session, Dr. Tran Vang Phu gave an overview of scientific research activities in general and in the field of law in particular. Playing such an important and necessary role, scientific research appears in all fields of social life. Here, he emphasized that in order to build and implement a scientific research, it is necessary to take specific steps and focus on many important factors.
Choosing a topic is the first important step in the research. The topic must be current and suitable for the expertise and capacity of the researcher. At the same time, it is necessary to clearly define the purpose and objectives of implementation to ensure that the research takes place in the right direction and avoid deflecting factors. The speaker also noted that naming the topic needs to ensure consistency, consistency and clarity.
Next, Dr. Tran Vang Phu also guides UEFers to develop a research outline and implementation process. The speaker briefly introduced the methodology and research methods, especially deeply focusing on the database - where you can find, read and research relevant documents and scientific research works. Students can find the necessary data by interviewing specific subjects, or looking up information from reputable sources. The data also needs to satisfy the set requirements, such as having high accuracy and reliability, having useful information to form a hypothetical evaluation basis, closely related to the topic. However, the collected data cannot be used immediately but must go through the process of screening, analysis and processing.
UEFers focuses on listening to the methods that lecturers share

UEF students not only listen but also actively interact with the speaker during the sharing session. The groups presented questions and problems encountered during the research process to receive comments from the teacher.
At the end of the exchange session, the students participating in scientific research have accumulated a lot of useful professional knowledge and gradually determined the necessary steps to implement their topic in the most thoughtful way. In the "racetrack" of the Science and Technology Award for students in higher education institutions, the Faculty of Law also excelled with 1 topic that won an incentive award. Hopefully, these will be the premise for Faculty students to continue to promote their creativity and research in this school year.
