With its structure “10 papers over 5 weeks”, the second Pre-Doctoral Programme is designed to help students clearly define their research capabilities, understand the requirements of doctoral training, and position their individual academic path.

Course 2 marks a new step forward as UEF collaborates with HUTECH to expand research space, expert networks, and academic mentoring opportunities for students.

The program's learning space is located at Wink Hotel Saigon Centre (4 stars), a modern, creative environment that aligns with the spirit of connection, critical thinking, and in-depth research.

Course 2 focuses specifically on specialization orientation, helping students choose and develop suitable research fields such as economics, management, finance, education, and related fields. Each student will receive in-depth mentoring, thereby building the necessary foundation to meet the stringent requirements of doctoral degrees both domestically and internationally.

By participating in the Pre-Doctoral Programme, students can develop independent research skills, academic thinking, and the ability to read and understand in-depth literature; master academic writing skills, especially those aimed at international publications; and finalize research proposals, preparing them for the doctoral admissions round Access to experienced academic advisors provides a long-term foundation for your research journey.

Specifically, the program only recruits 20 students to ensure the quality of personalized mentoring and effective support. The second cohort of the Pre-Doctoral Programme promises to continue to be a solid foundation for students who wish to pursue a PhD in the most systematic, confident, and effective way.

The admissions program includes the following categories:

• Staff, lecturers, and employees of UEF and HUTECH.

• Students and researchers outside the university system.

Provided: you have graduated from university with a degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance - Banking, Languages, Education,… with the goal of pursuing a PhD in the next 1-2 years and academic English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or higher.
