The current job market increasingly demands practical skills and a clear professional mindset, making the connection between classroom knowledge and real-world experience an essential requirement in university education. From December 15th to 19th, the Faculty of Economics at UEF organized a series of thematic presentations for various training modules, creating highly practical "open learning sessions."
Throughout the series of activities, UEF students had the opportunity to listen to and exchange ideas with business leaders and experts directly working in the fields of project management, real estate, logistics - seaports, and urban development. Through specific professional stories, the speakers shared lessons learned from years of practical experience, helping students better understand the nature of the work, career challenges, and competency requirements in each field.
In the specialized presentation on Project Management delivered by speaker Tran Duc Tho, Deputy Director of Investment at Bcons Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, students had the opportunity to access a comprehensive picture of the project implementation process in a real-world business environment. Through specific case studies, learners understood the role of project management in controlling progress, costs, quality, and risks, thereby gaining a clearer understanding of the responsibilities of managers and the coordination between stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

This helps UEF students understand the practical project implementation process and the role of project management.
In the "Negotiation in Real Estate Business" course , the presentation, led by Mr. Phan Manh Vu - Deputy General Director of Tera Real Estate Joint Stock Company, provided UEF students with a practical perspective on the art of sales and negotiation. The sharing revolved around the mindset of a real estate broker, how to approach customers, and how to build suitable solutions. It helped students realize that selling is not just about the product, but also about understanding the needs, psychology, and values that customers seek. Through this, students were equipped with the necessary mindset and soft skills to confidently enter the competitive business environment.

Sharing practical experiences helps students identify professional sales mindset and effective negotiation skills.
In the field of port management and operation , students gained practical knowledge about port operations, from yard layout and berth operation to handling situations arising in the logistics chain, through a presentation by speaker Nguyen Van Tuyen - Production Manager of Giang Nam Water Transport Joint Stock Company. Analyses from real-world scenarios helped students understand that even a small operational error can lead to significant consequences, thereby enhancing their sense of responsibility and careful thinking in their future work.

Expanding students' perspectives on port operations and logistics chains.
Concluding the series of activities was a thematic presentation on Real Estate Development, led by Ms. Nguyen Nhu Y, M.Sc., from the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Research. The presentation focused on the challenges in implementing housing projects, particularly social housing, in Ho Chi Minh City. Through analyses of urban planning, legal frameworks, and development policies, students gained a multifaceted perspective on the roles of government management, businesses, and investors in addressing social welfare issues and promoting sustainable urban development.

Planning, legal, and development issues related to social housing are analyzed from a practical perspective.
It is evident that the recent series of thematic reports by the Faculty of Economics has successfully helped students consolidate their specialized knowledge and contributed to the formation of professional thinking, practical analysis skills, and career development orientation for the future. When each course is expanded with practical experiences, it will help UEF students be ready to adapt and thrive in the workplace after graduation.
