UEF students in the Talent Program

01/26/2026

In its journey of training students with an applied and internationally integrated orientation, UEF always focuses on bringing learners closer to the real business environment, where knowledge is not just found in textbooks but is present in every production line, every management model, and every brand development story. These company visits therefore become "open classrooms," helping students observe, experience, and compare theory with practice in a vivid and in-depth way.

With that spirit in mind, on the afternoon of January 23rd, the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Business Administration jointly organized a visit  to the Heineken Brewery for students in the International Business and Business Administration Talent Programs . The trip also included four students from Christ University (India), contributing to a multicultural learning environment.

The field trip helped UEF Talent Program students broaden their perspectives and gain practical experience.

Accompanying the student group on the tour were Dr. Majo George - Head of the Faculty of Economics, Dr. Do Thi Thu Ha - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Economics, Ms. Nguyen Le Dong Xuan - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Economics, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Business Administration, along with lecturers from both faculties. In addition, the program also included the participation of Mr. Trinh Hoai Nam - a former student of the Faculty of Business Administration.

Representatives from UEF presented a letter of thanks to representatives from Heineken Brewery.

At the Heineken Brewery, UEF students were given an overview of the brand's history and development, from its early days to becoming a multinational corporation with a modern production system. Through this, they gained a better understanding of the company's sustainable development strategy and how it maintains its global brand identity while flexibly adapting to each local market.

During the tour, the delegation had the opportunity to directly learn about the closed-loop beer production process according to international standards. The presentations focused on the machinery, raw materials, and brewing stages, demonstrating the close coordination between technology and process management in controlling quality and maintaining product consistency.

In particular, the fermentation and brewing area provides students with valuable practical knowledge by clearly explaining the relationship between brewing time, production techniques, and beer flavor. Through this, they gain insight into how businesses research consumer preferences to adjust processes and create products suitable for different market segments.

The bottling and packaging area also made a strong impression with its high-speed canning lines, automatic beer filling systems, and continuously operating carton and crate packing machines with near-perfect precision. These visual aids helped UEF students better understand the scale of industrial production, the role of automation, and operational management in modern businesses.

To conclude the tour, the group had the opportunity to sample the products and enjoy snacks in a friendly atmosphere, creating a space for members to exchange and share their feelings after observing and learning about the factory firsthand.

It can be said that, from the practical experiences at the Heineken Brewery, UEF students have had the opportunity to systematize the knowledge they have learned in the classroom by directly observing the production and operation model of the enterprise.

Furthermore, the multicultural environment provides opportunities for students to practice their English communication skills, increase their proactiveness in exchange and teamwork. The values gained from the trip contribute to broadening career perspectives, enhancing self-confidence, and preparing them with the necessary tools for their studies and future career orientation.

This activity is part of a series of practical experiences for students of the UEF Talent Program, a program taught entirely in English, aimed at equipping students with professional knowledge according to international standards, while also providing them with opportunities to access a global learning and working environment.

Through these company visits, UEF continues to clearly demonstrate its orientation towards practical, student-centered training and accompanying students on their journey to becoming high-quality human resources in the context of international integration.
