On January 21st, a group of students from Christ University (India) continued to gain valuable academic experiences through two in-depth workshops closely related to business practices and innovation in the context of globalization and digital transformation. The classes took place within the framework of the international student exchange program “Student Exchange - Expand Your Horizons - Experience a New Culture” .

In the morning, international students participated in an Entrepreneurship Development class led by Steven Le, Co-founder of AirCity. Drawing on real-world startup stories, the speaker provided a vivid perspective on business model development, identifying market problems, and the role of technology in creating new value. Through an analysis of the PropTech sector in Southeast Asia, the lecture helped students understand how to apply AI and IoT to building management and operations, optimize user experience, and create a sustainable competitive advantage for businesses.

Speaker Steven Le shared his startup story and practical examples of PropTech.

In addition to introducing the operating model and revenue streams of tech startups, the speaker also frankly shared common reasons why many startup projects fail. From this, students were guided towards a more practical mindset regarding understanding market needs, managing cash flow, and building a suitable team. These lessons contributed to fostering a spirit of daring to try, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.

Continuing the series of activities, in the afternoon of the same day, the international student group participated in a workshop on Global Business Management & e-Finance Innovations taught by Ms. Duong Thi Vien An, Head of the Financial Technology Department. The lesson focused on clarifying the overall picture of the fintech sector through four strategic pillars and five core business models currently shaping the market. Concepts of the fintech value chain, supply chain digitalization, strategic competitive forces, and trade-offs in the decision-making process were presented systematically and accessiblely.

Ms. Duong Thi Vien An, M.Sc., provided an overview of the field of financial technology.

A highlight of this course is the close integration of theory and practice. International students work in groups, directly applying their knowledge to specific situations, while engaging in lively discussions with instructors. The open and interactive classroom atmosphere helps learners gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter and broaden their perspective on business management in the digital financial environment.
