On the morning of July 26, Faculty of Economics UEF, in collaboration with JCI Wonder Woman Vietnam, organized the Inspire Talk Series 2025 themed “Storytelling for Influence”. The program was part of the international project She Sparks in Tech 2025, aiming to develop storytelling skills for professional and personal growth - especially for women in an era of rapid technological advancement.

Inspirational female speakers shared impactful stories that resonated with diverse audiences
The event welcomed Dr. Majo George - Dean of Faculty of Economics, Dr. Do Thi Thu Ha and Dr. Tang My Ha - Vice Deans of the Faculty, along with representatives from JCI Wonder Woman Vietnam.
From JCI Hong Kong Jayceettes, the speakers included Ms. Sharon Lau - Head of Communications and Promotion of the project, Ms. KM Liu - Project Chair, and Ms. Koby Choy - Technology Advisor. They delivered insightful sharing on the power of storytelling to convey ideas clearly, emotionally, and persuasively - especially in business, communication, and design. The speakers guided participants on how to integrate storytelling into poster design to make strong first impressions, enhance communication effectiveness, and encourage meaningful calls to action.
Introducing more about the She Sparks in Tech 2025 initiative, the speakers emphasized the goals of fostering creativity, critical thinking, Gen-AI application, and building an inclusive learning community. Topics such as storytelling in the AI era, driving social impact through stories, community-building through shared narratives, and presentation skills enhanced by Gen-AI provided new and practical perspectives for participants.

The hybrid event allowed students to participate both onsite and online during the summer break
A special highlight of the program was the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manjari Sharma - Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, CHRIST University (India) and State President of the Maharashtra Council for Inclusive Education and Skill Development (WICCI). With over 15 years of teaching experience in India and abroad, she inspired the audience with heartfelt stories about her students’ learning and personal growth journeys, offering relatable and practical approaches to fostering holistic education, particularly in developing countries.
Delivering the message “Be brave to be seen,” Miss and entrepreneur Phan Ngoc Diem - JCI Vietnam National President 2019, Founder & CEO of Ngoc Nam Phuong Group - offered profound reflections on building a personal brand through authentic storytelling.
According to her, storytelling is not about performing or shining but about connecting and showing up authentically. She emphasized: “A personal brand is not about saying ‘I’m great,’ but about saying ‘I’m real.’ Be honest and kind to yourself - that’s the beginning of genuine connection.” She encouraged participants to embrace their true stories, confront imperfections without judgment, and use sincerity to create positive influence.

The program also featured sharing from Dr. Ly Thien Trang - Vice President of HUTECH, Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation at UEF, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong My Tham- Vice Dean, Faculty of English, UEF. From both academic and personal viewpoints, the speakers affirmed that storytelling is an effective tool for building credibility, fostering personal growth, and expanding connections in both education and professional environments.
