Data Analytics is considered a "money-making" field in the current digital era. However, is the path to becoming a data analyst open to everyone, especially for students with a "background" in International Relations?

In order to provide information and answer questions for students who are oriented and passionate in the industry that is the current trend in the world - Data Analytics, the Faculty of International Relations UEF organized a talkshow. Hot jobs Data Analytics and International Relations: Relationships of Thinking and Skills'' on the morning of August 28.

The talkshow was hosted by Dr. Dao Minh Hong - Vice Dean of the Faculty of International Relations at UEF and the sharing from the speaker MSc. Vuong Thao Vy - Data Analyst, Public Health Research at ResMed, USA.


The talkshow revolved around 3 main contents: Introduction to Data Analytics industry; The intersection of International Relations and Data Analytics; Finally, the journey from international relations bachelor to data analytics

 

According to Ms. Vuong Thao Vy, Data Analytics is the process of discovering and analyzing large data sets to find new trends, discover correlations between objects, and gain valuable insights. value to make predictions in business, learning. The role of data analytics is analyzed through two specific examples: patient monitoring and scientific research.

The strength of students majoring in International Relations is having good critical thinking, fluency in English, and solid professional knowledge. In particular, through internship programs at home and abroad, students have the opportunity to interact with international partners to increase their confidence and creativity in handling work. This is your plus point when embarking on the Data Analytics path.
