In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a transformative tool across multiple sectors, particularly in scientific research. Mastering and effectively applying AI not only enables researchers to access vast knowledge resources but also deepens their understanding of diverse global contexts.
Recognizing the importance of AI in research, on December 13, the Faculty of Business Administration organized a workshop titled “Orientation for Co-research with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.” The event was part of FBA’s research-focused initiatives aligned with internationalization, aiming to enhance faculty expertise, update emerging trends, and strengthen collaborative ties between UEF and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
With the theme “The Influence of AI on Psychology and Behavior,” the workshop explored new perspectives on cognitive bias and human behavior.

The session featured Dr. Abhishek Sheetal – Managing Director at the Center for Leadership and Innovation, Department of Management and Marketing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, who also serves as a Research Assistant Professor.
The program welcomed the participation of distinguished representatives, including Dr. Steve Pham (Pham Kim Anh) – CEO & Founder of ESI Academy; Dr. Ngo Minh Hai – Vice President of UEF; Dr. Ly Dan Thanh – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Hong Ha – Dean of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications; along with vice deans and faculty members from multiple disciplines.
UEF representatives present a token of appreciation to the guest speaker
In his opening remarks, the speaker shared his academic journey and passion for research, emphasizing that meaningful research should originate from real-world problems and aim to serve humanity. He highlighted that sustained focus, passion, and a sense of purpose are essential for long-term research success. His statement, “I want the whole world to know and learn from my country,” reflected a strong commitment to global knowledge contribution.

Throughout the session, the speaker’s journey of overcoming challenges and exploring the unknown served as a strong source of inspiration for UEF lecturers. He also highlighted the importance of collaborative international research, where shared passion and complementary strengths contribute to impactful outcomes.
His expertise in AI-driven data analysis was demonstrated through case studies on cognitive bias in human behavior. Using various research methods, he provided empirical evidence showing that biases—related to age, gender, or geography—are prevalent in everyday decision-making. In today’s rapidly evolving society, recognizing and mitigating such biases is essential to minimize negative impacts.
