THE MEETING BETWEEN FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND STUDENTS 2021-2022

On the afternoon of September 17, 2021, the Dean of Faculty of International Relations had three activities at the beginning of the year for students of each course K18, K19, and K20. Activities to update admission, student activities in the new school year, student research activities and answer questions about majors for students in the academic year 2021-2022. The activities of each course took place within an hour, giving the students an opportunity to better understand the preparation for the new school year and exchange with the teachers their own questions.

During all three sessions, Dr. Tran Thanh Huyen, Dean, Faculty of International Relations shared with you information related to the structure of the Faculty of International Relations, Training Objectives of the sector, academic work and student activities.
 

In addition, the students also learned about the homeroom teacher of their course, specifically: Course K21: Dr. Tran Thanh Huyen; Course K20: MSc. Nguyen The Phuong; Course K19: MSc. Le Phuong Cat Nhi; Course K18: Dr. Dao Minh Hong. The homeroom teachers will be the ones to closely follow the students of each course to exchange and answer questions from students this school year. Because the epidemic situation in Ho Chi Minh City is still complicated, Huyen also shared that the school is distributing materials to each student's home. Soft copies of the learning materials will also be sent to you through the Microsoft Teams and LMS platforms.
 

Ms. Huyen also introduced the Training Program and Outcomes of the Faculty of International Relations. This year's K21 course will have 2 new majors, Major in National Politics and Major in Sustainable Development. The Faculty's policy for this year will focus on scientific research projects in collaboration between faculty and students. Teachers will have key research topics that students can register to support teachers. This will be a very useful academic activity for you who are interested in learning about scientific research. Through that, Ms. Huyen also commended the students who participated in student scientific research activities in the previous school year.
 

Some subjects this year of the University of Economics and Finance of Ho Chi Minh City will also become subjects associated with domestic and foreign schools. In some classes of these subjects, students will listen to lectures from lecturers from other schools around the world.
 

Regarding activities for students, Ms. Huyen has reviewed academic talkshows related to many fields such as International Education, Local Diplomacy, Data Analysis of the Faculty recently, and shared Share with students the feedback of attendees after the event. In this new school year, except for clubs such as IRC, IRE and Faculty Federation, Youth Club for Community (IRG) will be the newest piece of the Faculty of International Relations, promising An interesting and meaningful playground for students.
 

As for K18, this will be your last year at UEF. The Faculty of Science disseminated and explained questions about internship and graduation thesis writing. Regarding internships, students will have access to internship resources from the Faculty and the University in many different fields, the internship period is 03 months. Regarding the graduation thesis, the Faculty of International Relations encourages K18 students who are eligible to do the graduation thesis, so they should start preparing as early and thoroughly as possible to get good results. The thesis writing time will be about 6 months.

Finally, before the new semester started, the Dean informed you about the rules of online learning of the Faculty of International Relations. It is recommended that students apply for online learning to achieve the best effect. You can view these rules by following the link below:
