In the final-year internship semester, businesses act as "second teachers" who play the role of training and creating a development environment for students, serving as a stepping stone before their professional careers. UEF students, especially those entering or about to enter this crucial stage, let’s listen to some shared insights from representatives of various internship organizations.

Strong Impressions of UEF Students “UEF students possess great potential; firstly, a correct attitude toward the industry, and secondly, a hardworking spirit” – that is the impression of Mr. Tran Quang Thuc, Human Resources Director of Mia Luxury Saigon Hotel. From his years of experience, these are positive factors for a successful career path in the Hospitality industry (Restaurant, Hotel, Tourism, and Resort Management).
In a different field, UEFers also received equally good evaluations, affirming the comprehensive training quality of the University. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thai Son – Director of Gia Phát Investment Co., Ltd., “graded” the UEF interns highly for their communication skills, dynamism, and proactive learning – solid foundations for becoming professional sales executives in the Real Estate industry. Based on that impression, the representative of Gia Phát Investment hopes for more opportunities to meet and cooperate with UEF to facilitate the development of young human resources.

Previously, to prepare the mindset and best working skills for students, the Center for Corporate Partnerships implemented orientation week, mock interviews, and many other beneficial activities. It must be said that these activities have brought high efficiency, helping UEF interns confidently "shine" at their internship units.
Pride in Being a Practical Training Environment for Students Acting as the students' second teachers, corporate partners need to satisfy the criteria of an effective internship environment. Beyond UEF’s requirements, many businesses expressed pride in their efforts to train interns. “Certainly, after this internship, you will gain a lot of knowledge and practical experience in marketing” – affirmed Mr. Dang Thanh Tuan, Admissions Director of the Vietnamese American School System (VASS), as he spoke about the tasks assigned to interns, such as content creation, imagery, and running advertisements. After the initial hesitation, UEFers quickly grasped the work thanks to orientation and direct training from Department Directors and coordination with Team Leaders.

“At GM Decor Design and Construction Joint Stock Company, International Business students work like sales specialists, participating in client meetings and drafting quotations. Corporate Finance students are assigned to evaluate project feasibility, while Logistics and Supply Chain Management students plan transportation and ensure timely material supply for ongoing projects” – said Mr. Do Hoang Duy, the company’s Director. As a UEF alumnus from Intake 5, he clearly understands the capabilities of his “juniors” to arrange suitable internship positions.
Highly rated by many interns for its recruitment methods and working environment, Gia Phát Investment has unique secrets for attracting and managing young personnel. Accordingly, Mr. Son expressed confidence in the internship environment and the practical values the company brings to UEF students during their time learning and working here.

More Than Just an Internship: Businesses Accompany UEF in Many Training Aspects Representing Open End Development Joint Stock Company, General Director Lai Thi My Hanh expressed hope for creating a deeper cooperation network between UEF and businesses. Accordingly, businesses could play a larger role in workshops, seminars, or training programs for each major. This is also a common opinion among many partner units currently receiving UEF interns.

Agreeing with this view, Mr. Dang Thanh Tuan (VASS) believes that both businesses and the university share the responsibility of training and developing the younger generation for society. Thus, VASS highly looks forward to and supports cooperative programs for sharing knowledge and exchanging professional expertise and teaching skills with the university's lecturers and students.
Messages to the Future Generation As a predecessor, Mr. Do Hoang Duy (GM Decor), a UEF alumnus of Intake 5, encourages his "juniors" to be ready and proactive in seeking positions that rotate through different departments within the business to gain a comprehensive, multi-dimensional view of the organization and the entire industry. Another piece of advice comes from Ms. Lai Thi My Hanh (Open End), sharing that interns with a clear mindset and development goals within the business will easily achieve great results.

“You need to prepare yourselves with a steadfast spirit” – given the specific nature of the Tourism and Hospitality industry, Mr. Tran Quang Thuc (Mia Luxury Saigon) sent an additional message: “because you will certainly face many difficulties and obstacles after graduation. The second factor is the need for early career orientation.” By making good use of the time experiencing the corporate environment during the internship, you will soon find your own direction.
