UEF Lunar New Year Sports 2026: Connecting Staff, Spreading Energy

In the bustling atmosphere of welcoming the Year of the Horse 2026, on the morning of January 31, UEF enthusiastically organized the Sports Festival for Faculty and Staff to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The event took place right on the University campus, attracting the eager participation of a large number of faculty and staff, providing a playground full of energy, cohesion, and joy in the early days of the new year.

From early morning, the atmosphere became lively as trade union groups gathered, warmed up, and prepared their spirits for the competitions. The opening ceremony was brief, kicking off a series of exciting contests that demonstrated the competitive spirit, determination, and solidarity of the UEF faculty and staff collective. The games were designed to be both physically active and team-oriented, contributing to the festive spring atmosphere and bringing various emotions to the participants.

Three competition categories, including Seated Sack Racing, Blindfolded Football, and Tug of War, took place in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and passionate cheering. In each part, the teams not only demonstrated skill, agility, and endurance but also showed teamwork, harmony in coordination, and the ability to adapt to unexpected situations. The laughter and applause, mixed with the suspense and intensity of each match, created a colorful sports festival, vividly reflecting the University's vibrant movement.

The sports festival was an opportunity for faculty and staff to temporarily set aside their professional work to exercise, socialize, and strengthen the bonds between departments and trade unions. Through this activity, the collective spirit was nurtured, and positive energy was spread, contributing to a solid mental foundation for a new working year filled with expectations and determination.

The final results of the Faculty and Staff Sports Festival for the Year of the Horse 2026 are as follows:

  • For the Seated Sack Racing category: First Prize belonged to the Joint Trade Union Groups 01, 02, and 13; Second Prize was awarded to Trade Union Group 05, and Third Prize belonged to Trade Union Group 06.
  • In the Blindfolded Football category: Trade Union Group 06 excellently won First Prize, Trade Union Group 14 took Second Prize, while Third Prize belonged to Joint Trade Union Groups 15 and 16.
  • For the Tug of War category: Joint Trade Union Groups 01, 02, and 13 continued to affirm their collective strength by winning First Prize; Second Prize went to Trade Union Group 19, and Third Prize was awarded to Trade Union Group 05.
