E-Commerce Video Competition 2025 Officially Launches, Seeking Young Talents in the Digital Era

Amidst the powerful flow of the digital age where AI is constantly reshaping how brands connect with users, short-form video has emerged as a vital bridge for marketing activities on e-commerce platforms and social media.

Catching up with this trend, on the afternoon of November 26, the Faculty of Information Technology and the UEF E-Commerce Club (ECC) held the kick-off ceremony for the E-Commerce Video Competition 2025 with the theme “Sustainable Shoppertainment.” This is a playground for young people to express themselves, promote innovative thinking, and contribute to shaping sustainable marketing trends.

EVC Season 3 officially starts, attracting a large number of interested students across Ho Chi Minh City

The kick-off session was attended by MSc. Nguyen Huynh Sinh - Secretary of the Youth Union and Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Department; MSc. Hoang Thi Hang - Assistant to the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology; MSc. Hoang Van Hieu - Head of the Information Technology Department; along with lecturers, students, and registered contestants. The program also welcomed Ms. Pham Thi Thu Ngan - Social Marketing Manager of Haravan Technology Joint Stock Company.

Continuing the spirit of the previous two seasons, EVC Season 3, with the message “From Vision to Value - From Story to Glory,” has attracted a vast number of students across Ho Chi Minh City. The competition is open to students from universities and colleges, aged 18 to 24, including those who have graduated for no more than two years within Ho Chi Minh City. Contestants participate in teams of 3 to 5 members.

Representing the Organizing Committee, Mr. Ho Nguyen Tien Dat - President of the ECC Club, disseminated the structure of the competition journey consisting of 4 main rounds:

  • Warm-up Round: Nov 24 – Dec 01, 2025 (Optional round)
  • Round 1 - Discovery: Dec 02 – Dec 12, 2025
  • Round 2 - Creativity: Dec 13 – Dec 22, 2025
  • Round 3 - Breakthrough: Dec 23 – Jan 06, 2025

Alongside the competition rounds, a series of professional training sessions led by experts will be organized to help contestants enhance their knowledge and practice real-world skills to perfect their entries.

Closing the session on journey details and rules, EVC 2025 motivated contestants with attractive prizes, worthily recognizing the creative products and efforts of the participating teams.

Prize Structure:

  • 01 First Prize: 10,000,000 VNĐ
  • 01 Second Prize: 5,000,000 VNĐ
  • 01 Third Prize: 3,000,000 VNĐ
  • 03 Consolation Prizes: 1,500,000 VNĐ each
Prizes will be awarded in both cash and gifts to the winning teams.

Speaker shares knowledge, encouraging students to enter the trend-driven playground

To consolidate knowledge and help students enter the competition with confidence, Ms. Pham Thi Thu Ngan, with over 5 years of experience in Social Commerce, Social Marketing & Livestreaming, updated the audience on changes in consumer behavior in the digital era, helping students realize the importance of short-form video in marketing strategies. Additionally, the speaker shared how to apply AI to optimize video production and effectively utilize videos produced on social media platforms to generate conversions.

She also emphasized 5 key factors that help a video attract viewers: authenticity, entertainment, sound, trend-catching, and collaboration with content creators—factors that make a video complete and widely accessible. This knowledge not only supports contestants in the upcoming race but also equips students with useful insights applicable to their future studies and careers.

The kick-off ceremony concluded, opening a new official chapter for the E-Commerce Video Competition 2025. UEFers who are passionate about short-form videos and content creation in the AI era should quickly register to enter the competition, express their unique style and identity, and bring breakthrough media products to this year's season.
