The Grand Finale of the Academic Festival "Ho Chi Minh City's Youth and the South China Sea" in 2020

In order to create a learning forum for students majoring in International Relations at Ho Chi Minh City's to interact, and exchange personal knowledge, while launching an Academic Festival for Students learn more about Politics - Diplomacy, Laws related to the South China Sea's issues, on November 26, 2020, at Democracy Conference Room, the Faculty of International Relations, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economic - Finance in collaboration with the Foundation for East Sea Studies (FESS) and under the sponsorship of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) in Vietnam successfully organized the Grand Finale of the Academic Festival "Ho Chi Minh City's Youth and the South China Sea ” in 2020.

As the host of the event, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) was honored to welcome:
Ms. Vu Thi Thu Phuong, Program Manager, Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) in Vietnam, Event's sponsor representative.
Ph.D Lai Thai Binh, Deputy Director of the East Sea Institute, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
Ph.D Ha Anh Tuan, Director of the East Sea Research Support Fund, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

Through the Preliminary Round, the Organization Board has selected 6 groups to the Final round, including students from: Faculty of International Relations (Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics - Finance), Faculty of International Relations (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University - HCM), Department of International Studies (Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University)

The judges of the Academic Festival "Ho Chi Minh City's Youth and the South China Sea" in 2020 includes:

Ph.D Ha Anh Tuan, Director of the Foundation for East Sea Studies, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
Ph.D Dao Minh Hong - Deputy Dean, Faculty of International Relations, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics - Finance.
Ph.D Nguyen Minh Man, Head of the Department of International Studies, Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University.
M.A Pham Ngoc Minh Trang, Lecturer in the Faculty of International Relations, University of Social Sciences & Humanities, Vietnam National University - HCM.



After more than 2 hours of the Grand Finale, the Board of Directors decided 3 excellent groups. Following is the list of standout individuals and groups:

First prize: Pham Minh Khang, Department of International Relations, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University - HCM

Second prizes: Nguyen Thanh Long and Nguyen Phuc Thuc Uyen, Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University.

The Grand Finale has the participation and monitoring of students from the Faculty of International Relations, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics - Finance.

The Academic Festival "Ho Chi Minh City's Youth and the South China Sea" has ended with the desire to nurture passion and promote the research movement, to explore practical international relations issues, especially The South China Sea for the young generation.
