For their outstanding achievements at the 2024 World Taekwondo Championships held in Hong Kong, three exemplary students from the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City (UEF) were awarded the Labor Order – one of the highest honors in the country – by a decision signed by the President of Vietnam. This is not only a source of pride for the students themselves but also a milestone affirming UEF's position in training talented and well-rounded young generations.
The 2024 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships, held from November 30th to December 4th, 2024 in Hong Kong, brought together 1,727 athletes from 77 countries and territories – a record number in the tournament's history. The Vietnamese Taekwondo team, comprising 40 athletes and 7 coaches, excelled, winning 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals, placing Vietnam fourth overall, behind South Korea, the United States, and Taiwan.
Among them, three UEF students – Nguyen Thanh Hien Linh (Marketing Faculty), Tran Dang Khoa (Information Technology Faculty), and Le Ngoc Han (Information Technology Faculty) – shone brightly, making significant contributions to the team's overall success. The contestants participated in various events, from standard team poomsae to creative poomsae, showcasing their masterful technique, steely resolve, and seamless teamwork. Their performances not only impressed the judges but also amazed international audiences.

For their outstanding contributions, three UEF students were honored with the Labor Medal – a prestigious award given to individuals with exceptional achievements in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Specifically:
