To help students of the 2024 cohort majoring in Event Management better understand the characteristics of each specialization within the event field, on the evening of May 21st, the Marketing Faculty organized a program titled "Specialization Counseling, Event Management Major," with many practical insights and career guidance for students.
The insights shared at the program helped students gain a more concrete understanding of each major, thereby enabling them to proactively plan their academic journey and career development in the future.

The major selection counseling session helps students identify a suitable career path for the future.
Accompanying and sharing at the program were Dr. Phan Bao Giang - Vice Rector, Head of the Marketing Department; and Mr. Duong Chi Thanh - Founder & CEO of CanhCung Group. The program also featured the participation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung - Lecturer in the Marketing Department and Mr. Le Thanh Hai - Lecturer in the Marketing Department.
During the program, Dr. Phan Bao Giang shared insights on the learning path and career guidance for students. Through a detailed analysis of two training paths – Entertainment Events and Corporate Events – he helped students better understand the learning direction, working environment, and development opportunities in each field. This provided them with a solid foundation to prepare for their studies and future careers.

Continuing the program, Mr. Duong Chi Thanh, M.Sc., provided students with many practical perspectives on the current event market through sharing based on his professional experience. The speaker specifically analyzed the characteristics of each type of event, while also helping students to better visualize career opportunities after graduation.
In particular, he emphasized the importance of proactively participating in projects and practical activities while still in university to gain experience, expand relationships, and identify a suitable career path early on.

In addition, many career positions at both client and agency levels, such as account, creative, planner, and operations, are specifically introduced, helping students better understand the roles, requirements, and development potential of each position. Students are encouraged to leverage their personal strengths and choose jobs that match their interests and abilities to create a competitive advantage in the future.
The program also created a close exchange space between lecturers and students through many practical questions revolving around major selection, career opportunities, and the demands of the current labor market. The specific sharing and answers helped students better understand their own development direction before making decisions about their future academic journey.

Concluding the program, students of the 2024 cohort in Event Management gained valuable information to better understand their abilities, interests, and career development goals within the context of the increasingly developing event industry and its diverse career opportunities.
