To support students in identifying a suitable study path and career orientation, on the evening of May 18th, the Marketing Faculty of UEF organized the "Major Counseling - Dialogue with Marketing Students of the 2024 Cohort" program, with the participation of lecturers, alumni, and a large number of students from the 2024 cohort.
Attending the program were Dr. Phan Bao Giang - Vice Rector, Head of the Marketing Department; Mr. Nguyen Dang Huy Vu - Head of the Marketing Department, along with lecturers from the department. Joining the exchange and sharing of practical experiences with students were two alumni of the Marketing department: Mr. Le Phuoc Hien - Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy Head of Marketing Department of HAI Agricultural Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (FLC Group) and Ms. Ha Ngoc Cam - Alumnus of the 2020 cohort.

Dr. Phan Bao Giang introduced and interacted with the two guest speakers before the orientation session.
During the program, Mr. Nguyen Dang Huy Vu, M.Sc., provided an overview of the three training specializations within the Marketing field: Marketing Management, Brand Management, and Advertising. Through analyzing development trends, job characteristics, and career opportunities in each field, students gained a better understanding of the professional direction that best suits their abilities and interests.

MSc. Nguyen Dang Huy Vu gave an overview of the three specializations in Marketing at UEF.
During the Q&A session, the guests shared many practical perspectives on their learning and career journeys in the field of Marketing. Mr. Phuoc Hien and Ms. Ngoc Cam emphasized that understanding what one wants and what field suits them is crucial for students to choose the right major early on, avoiding disorientation during their studies and career development.
From a business perspective, Mr. Phuoc Hien also shared factors that help candidates make a good impression on recruiters, especially a professional attitude and attention to detail in areas such as email writing, communication, and work style. In addition, he emphasized that the professional knowledge acquired at university is something students need to invest in seriously to create a long-term advantage in their careers.
Besides providing career guidance, the program also helps students in the 2024 cohort connect with faculty and alumni, and gain practical experience from the business environment. This motivates them and encourages them to proactively build their academic and personal development paths from their early years of university.
