
INTRODUCTION TO THE MARKETING DEPARTMENT
The Marketing Faculty of the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City (UEF) was officially established in August 2022, with the mission of training in four main majors: Marketing, Advertising, Event Management, and Digital Marketing. As of 2023, the faculty has trained seven generations of Marketing students, two generations of Advertising students, and two generations of Event Management students.
The Marketing Faculty develops curricula with internationally-oriented knowledge and skills, constantly innovating and updating to suit each student's academic and career aspirations, while also meeting the recruitment needs of businesses and society in their respective fields.
Becoming a member of the Marketing Faculty , students not only receive a high-quality learning path but also gain invaluable experiences. With dedicated guidance, the faculty of the Department, comprised of education experts, are always eager to share their expertise and practical experience to enrich students' foundation upon graduation with in-depth industry knowledge, up-to-date trends, and vibrant, useful practical skills.
The Marketing Department firmly believes that to succeed in Marketing, Advertising, Event Management, or Digital Marketing, students need closer exposure to real-world situations – and this is precisely what the Marketing Department has been, is, and will continue to do. In line with the goal of training high-quality human resources to supply a vibrant and competitive labor market,the Marketing Facultyregularly organizes programs and events focused on enhancing students' learning, research, and application skills. This not only creates an internationally standardized environment where practice goes hand in hand with theory, but also provides opportunities for students to develop soft skills, contributing to effective connections between different disciplines.
Competitions are not limited to the faculty but extend to the entire university, and even beyond the boundaries of UEF. Notable examples include You Branding - Building a Personal Brand (in collaboration with the Faculty of Business Administration, Student Affairs Office), MIC Gold UEF (in collaboration with MIC Zone Club, Student Affairs Office), and The Creator 2023 for students in Ho Chi Minh City.
Furthermore,the Marketing Facultyengaging talk shows and workshops , aiming to provide students with knowledge and practical experience from speakers with impressive profiles, drawing on hard-won experiences from challenging yet rewarding journeys. Examples include "Creative Marketing - From Idea to Execution" and "Discovering the Secrets of PR in Marketing Strategy".
Highly relevant and up-to-date topics such as "Applying AI to Marketing Content Creation" – workshops and talk shows have attracted a large number of UEF students.
Even more importantly, to fully absorb the lessons in class, the Marketing Faculty creates many opportunities for students to interact, listen to, and exchange ideas with leading leaders and managers through thematic presentations, company visits,
and other colorful extracurricular and team activities!

Furthermore, major projects are being developed to comprehensively meet the recreational and professional internship needs of students in four majors: Marketing, Advertising, Event Management, and Digital Marketing. With the project "Marketing Strategy Consulting Center for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises" (expected to be a collaboration with BrainGroup and Saigon Business Magazine), students will directly participate in strategic planning and the implementation of marketing activities. In addition, the Marketing Department is a co-organizer of many large and small professional events such as Asian Fashion Week, the Luong Van Can Annual Awards, Extra Men Show, etc., so future event organizers can confidently pursue their careers, as they will participate in real-world shows from their first year.
With the dedicated guidance and sound direction of the Faculty Board, along with the heads of departments and the faculty and staff who are always responsible and enthusiastic, the Marketing Faculty of UEF affirms that it will be the ideal choice for students with a strong passion for Marketing to freely create and develop. From there, it trains and nurtures talented "Gen Z Artists," ready to shine on all fronts, from general marketing strategies to cutting-edge tools: advertising and event organization.
