Bui Thi Xuan High School students gain more confidence in international integration.

As knowledge, technology, and global connectivity evolve daily, the skills needed for today's youth are no longer limited to textbooks or grades. They also encompass an integrated mindset, adaptability, and a proactive approach to community and societal issues. 

Inspired by this spirit, the "Global Citizen" course for students of Bui Thi Xuan High School was implemented as a special learning experience, and after more than 36 weeks of continuous participation, the program officially concluded with a closing ceremony held on the morning of May 22nd.

The "Global Citizen" course has successfully contributed to broadening the thinking and integration skills of high school students.

The closing ceremony was attended by the UEF Board of Directors, leaders of faculties, departments, and centers, as well as UEF lecturers who directly participated in teaching the course. Representing Bui Thi Xuan High School were the school's Board of Directors and nearly 200 students from the four classes that participated in the program.

The ceremony further strengthened the educational cooperation between UEF and Bui Thi Xuan High School.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Huynh Thanh Phu, Principal of Bui Thi Xuan High School, expressed his gratitude to the UEF faculty for their dedication to training, providing practical and relevant topics for the current era. According to him, the greatest value of the course lies in helping students develop the mindset of a global citizen – someone who knows how to learn, adapt, and is ready to integrate into the future.

Representing UEF, Dr. Phan Bao Giang - Vice Rector - also highlighted the outstanding achievements of the course with over 36 weeks of continuous training, the participation of 11 lecturers from 6 faculties and centers, and nearly 200 students from grades 10 and 11 who studied throughout the program. From specialized topics to activities related to soft skills and global thinking, students had the opportunity to access a learning environment rich in experiences and broaden their multifaceted perspectives on the world around them.

At the closing ceremony, Ms. Tran Le Thuy Quynh, Deputy Head of the Training Department, announced the decision recognizing the completion of the course. Representatives from UEF also presented the academic records, including transcripts and the recognition decision, to the school as a milestone acknowledging the academic achievements and efforts of the students participating in the program.

Sharing his thoughts at the closing ceremony, Ly Anh Son said: "For me, each topic brought its own experiences and values. Among them, the 'Creative Presentation' topic left a strong impression on me because of its high applicability in learning and its potential for future career orientation . "

From the perspective of a lecturer accompanying the course, Ms. Ha Le Thu Hoai, Deputy Director of the UEF Project Design Training Center, highly appreciated the learning spirit of the students from Bui Thi Xuan High School. According to her: "The most valuable thing about the students is their proactiveness, their ability to quickly absorb information, and their willingness to debate and listen to different perspectives throughout the learning process . "

Teachers and students shared many memorable experiences throughout the course.

The ceremony was made even more meaningful with the recognition and awards given to students who achieved outstanding results in each subject, as well as those who achieved high overall results. These awards not only acknowledged their academic efforts but also served as encouragement for them to continue nurturing their learning spirit and personal development in the future.

Concluding its journey of over 36 weeks, the course has left many practical values ​​for students of Bui Thi Xuan High School, from knowledge and skills to integrated thinking in the new context. At the same time, the program clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of the cooperation between UEF and Bui Thi Xuan High School in creating rich learning environments for high school students. 

With the foundation already built, the two units are expected to continue implementing even more meaningful and innovative programs for learners in the future.
