To help students of the 2024 cohort gain a clearer understanding of their study path, career trends, and specialized options in the field of digital marketing, the Marketing Faculty of UEF organized the "Specialized Counseling - Digital Marketing Student Dialogue Program for the 2024 Cohort" on the evening of May 20th.
The program not only provides professional information but also opens up a space for direct exchange, allowing students to understand their own capabilities and choose a suitable career path in the context of the constantly evolving Digital Marketing industry driven by technology and AI.
During the program, students gain access to a comprehensive overview of the current Digital Marketing market, highlighting prominent trends such as AI & automation, hyper-personalization, shoppertainment, creator economy, and cross-platform experiences. Accordingly, Vietnam's digital economy is projected to reach a size of $52-55 billion by 2026, with internet access reaching 84.2% of the population. These figures demonstrate the strong growth potential and increasing demand for human resources in the field of Digital Marketing.
Students have a forum to connect directly, explore their interests, and choose a suitable major.
The program was attended by Dr. Phan Bao Giang - Vice Rector, Head of the Marketing Department. Accompanying and advising students was Mr. Bui Anh Dung - Head of the Digital Marketing major. During the program, students received specific answers regarding knowledge orientation, skills, career opportunities, and the potential application of AI in various specialized fields.
Specifically, the Digital Marketing Management major aims to train digital marketing managers capable of applying technology, data, and creative thinking to build brands and drive growth on online platforms. Students in this major will be equipped with skills in campaign management, data analysis, and decision-making based on real-world data.
Meanwhile, the Digital Advertising major focuses on developing creative thinking combined with technology, helping students build and optimize advertising campaigns in the digital environment with the support of AI. This is considered a suitable field for young people who love creative content, communication, and user behavior.
For students passionate about technology and data, the Marketing Technology major offers a combined approach to marketing, the MarTech ecosystem, and AI to optimize customer experience and drive business growth in the digital age. Topics such as big data analytics, marketing automation, and Generative AI are also integrated into the curriculum.
Furthermore, the Virtual Event Management specialization opens up new avenues in the field of digital event organization, combining technology, media, and multi-platform interactive experiences. This is considered one of the fields with strong growth potential in the current digital transformation context.
MSc. Bui Anh Dung shared detailed information about each specialization.
At the same time, the program also helps students gain a clearer understanding of career opportunities after graduation. Many diverse career positions are introduced, such as Digital Marketing Manager, Campaign Manager, SEO/SEM Specialist, MarTech Operator, or Digital Event Producer.
The program also opens up a space for direct dialogue between lecturers and students revolving around practical concerns such as choosing a suitable major, future skill requirements, adaptability to AI, and internship opportunities at businesses. Through this, students in the 2024 cohort have a better basis for defining their learning goals and building a career development roadmap from their early years of university.
Students proactively seek out information related to their major and internship/job opportunities.
In addition, the Marketing Department also introduces students to internship programs both domestically and internationally, offering opportunities for practical experience at businesses and visits to partner companies in Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, or China. This is considered one of the advantages that helps students access a practical professional environment and enhance their international integration skills.
Through the specialized career counseling program, Digital Marketing students of the 2024 cohort will not only be updated on the latest industry trends but also gain more motivation to proactively develop their personal skills, ready to adapt to the ever-changing digital job market.
