Starting a journey of discovery and connection with new members of the Community Connection Center.

05/03/2026
Continuing the Orientation Day event series, on the evening of October 24, UEF’s Community Connection Center (CSL) held a welcome and community orientation session for new members with the theme “The Story Verse.” The event marked the beginning of a new journey at the CSL community, where students could meet, interact, and connect—then write their own stories, keep meaningful experiences, and record milestones of personal growth in UEF’s dynamic environment.
The CSL new member welcome program took place in an excited and lively atmosphere.
The program was attended by Ms. Tran Thi My Phuong (MSc.), Director of the Community Connection Center, and Ms. Huynh Kim Phung, the center’s coordinator. It created a space for members to connect, bond, and understand one another better. From the very first moments, the community spirit was strongly awakened, spreading positive energy among all CSL members.
Right from the start, the hall “warmed up” as members joined interactive games and connection activities. These activities helped new members integrate quickly, break the ice, and create memorable bonding moments. The lively mood continued through music and dance performances by CSL members themselves, bringing fresh colors and the enthusiastic spirit typical of the UEF community.
The program’s atmosphere was “warmed up” at the beginning with interactive connection games.
Next, Ms. Tran Thi My Phuong (MSc.) gave new members an overview of the center’s activities. Through her sharing, students gained a clearer understanding of the center’s direction in developing transferable skills, creative thinking, and a proactive mindset. This is the foundation that helps each UEF student gradually explore and improve themselves in a modern learning environment.
Ms. Tran Thi My Phuong (MSc.) shared an overall picture of the activities at CSL.
At the program, representatives of CSL’s clubs such as Nu Cuoi Em Tho, Sketchnote for Good, and C4D took turns performing short skits to introduce their signature activities. Each club showed its own unique style, but all shared the same goal of building an open learning environment where students can develop skills, strengthen their abilities, and contribute to the community. This helped new members understand the CSL community better and also feel more deeply the value of giving back and personal growth in UEF’s dynamic environment.

In addition, Ms. Huynh Kim Phung shared the PERMAH formula, a model developed by psychologist Martin Seligman. Through this, students had a chance to understand themselves better, identify what kinds of activities bring them joy, and clarify the values they want to pursue. This serves as a foundation to help CSL members balance emotions and goals for personal growth in the future.

Closing the emotional welcome journey, “The Story Verse” left unforgettable memories for CSL members. Each activity was a chance for students to explore themselves, learn how to listen, and connect with people around them. Through this, they practiced transferable skills, broadened their thinking, and developed a proactive spirit. These values will be a solid foundation for students to keep growing and continue writing their own journey of maturity in the future.
