[UEF 2026 Olympics] Football tournament concludes, Marketing Faculty conquers the Gold Cup.

After many days of exciting and dramatic competition, the UEF 2026 Olympic Football tournament officially concluded with the finals and third-place matches in the men's and women's categories on May 10th. Breathtaking score chases, explosive moments, and a determined fighting spirit created a memorable season for the "king of sports".

In the men's 7-a-side football event , the final match between the Marketing Faculty and the Economics Faculty lived up to fans' expectations. The two teams created a back-and-forth game with many fierce exchanges of attacks throughout the regular time.

Unable to determine a winner after a 2-2 draw, the match went to a tense penalty shootout. There, composure and precision helped the Marketing Faculty players win 3-2, claiming their first-ever UEF Olympic men's football championship title.

Meanwhile, in the third-place match, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting put in a valiant effort to win 6-5 against the Faculty of Business Administration, thereby securing the bronze medal.

The women's 5-a-side football competition also witnessed a strong comeback from the Faculty of Business Administration. After two seasons of missing out on the top spot, the "FBA" girls showed convincing form to conquer the UEF 2026 Olympic championship. 

Thanks to their cohesive teamwork and unwavering fighting spirit, the team defeated the Faculty of Economics in the final with a score of 3-1 to officially reclaim the prestigious gold medal.

With this result, the Faculty of Economics finished second after a season of determined competition, while the Faculty of English concluded its journey in third place after a narrow 1-0 victory over the Faculty of Finance and Accounting.

Attending the Final Round and presenting awards to the outstanding teams were Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - Vice Rector, Dr. Phan Bao Giang - Vice Rector, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien - CEO of Teennie Clinic dental clinic, along with teachers and leaders from various departments.
