UEF 2026 Olympics: Marketing Faculty advances to the men's 7-a-side football final.

On May 3rd, the semi-finals of the UEF 2026 Olympic Football tournament took place with a series of emotional matches in both the men's 7-a-side and women's 5-a-side events, delivering dramatic score chases, explosive moments, and officially determining the teams that will participate in the final.

In the men's 7-a-side football semi-final between the Marketing Faculty and the Business Administration Faculty, the match was closely contested for most of the game. The turning point came in the final minutes, when Marketing capitalized on opportunities to score two consecutive goals, before Business Administration managed to narrow the gap. Ultimately, the Marketing Faculty secured a resolute 2-1 victory, thus earning their place in the championship match.

Meanwhile, the other semi-final match between the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Finance and Accounting delivered a "goalfest" with a total of 9 goals. The open attacking style and impressive scoring efficiency helped the Faculty of Economics win 6-3, affirming their strength as a championship contender.

In the women's 5-a-side football competition, the matches were equally exciting. The Faculty of Economics, despite falling behind early, showed resilience by staging a convincing comeback to win 4-1 against the Faculty of Finance and Accounting. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Business Administration staged an impressive comeback in the second half to defeat the Faculty of English 5-1, securing the remaining spot in the Final.

With the semi-finals concluding, the two finalists have been officially determined. In the men's category, it will be a showdown between the Marketing Faculty and the Economics Faculty , while in the women's category, it will be a highly anticipated clash between the Economics Faculty and the Business Administration Faculty .
