UEF Partners with Busan Global Exchange to Expand Study Abroad Opportunities in Korea for Students

SEPTEMBER 12, UEF met with the Busan Global Exchange Foundation (South Korea) to discuss the upcoming Busan Study Abroad Seminar in Ho Chi Minh City. This event provides UEF a platform to connect with Korean universities and explore potential collaborations in various fields.
Representing UEF were Dr. Nhan Cam Tri, Vice President and Director of the Center of Corporate Partnerships, and Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures. From the Busan Global Exchange Foundation, attendees included Mr. Joo Hyeon-hoo, Chief Representative, and Ms. Oh Seon-ji, Assistant.

The meeting with the Busan Global Exchange Foundation opens up collaboration opportunities with Korean universities

Before the detailed discussions, Dr. Nhan Cam Tri provided an overview of UEF, highlighting key programmes available to students, with a particular emphasis on activities within the Korean Language programme.

Representing the Busan Global Exchange Foundation, Mr. Joo Hyeon-hoo explained that their organization is the only entity under the City of Busan dedicated to supporting international students. The foundation provides scholarships, internship programmes, job fair events, visa guidance, and more to assist students studying in Korea.

During the exchange, details about the Busan Study Abroad Seminar in Ho Chi Minh City were shared. This event serves as an opportunity for universities in Busan to present student support projects, offer study abroad guidance, and establish cooperative connections with universities in Ho Chi Minh City.

In his proposal to the Busan Global Exchange Foundation, Dr. Nhan Cam Tri expressed UEF’s interest in collaborating on international semester programs, short-term exchanges, and internship opportunities in Korea for UEF students. He also emphasized that, with its bilingual program, UEF warmly welcomes Korean students for cultural exchange, study, and hands-on experience.

Following the initial discussions and UEF’s anticipated participation in the Busan Study Abroad Seminar in Ho Chi Minh City in November, both institutions hope to establish new collaborative opportunities, offering high-quality international programs for students from both universities.
