Students from APU (Japan) receive certificates for completing the internship programs at UEF

March 22, two Japanese students from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) received certificates for their one-month teaching Japanese internship at UEF. This is part of the Student Exchange Nippon Discovery (SEND) initiative, which is included in the Global Human Resources Development programme. This program was organized by the Japanese Educational Department, which involves sending students abroad for teaching Japanese internship and cultural exchange. 


Two APU students received certification after completing a 4-week internship


The certificate award ceremony was attended by Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President and Director of the UEF International Institute; Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than - Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, along with Japanese Language lecturers. Representing Abroader Company was Ms. Le Bich Lien - SEND Program Director.

The two APU students participating in the internship at UEF this time were Funato Risa and Makita Haruka.

After presenting the certificates, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc extended congratulatory wishes and bid farewell to the two Japanese students. He also delivered that they had spent time experiencing and creating many memorable moments at UEF

The appreciation gifts from the two Japanese students to UEF


During their 4-week internship at UEF, APU students participated in Japanese language teaching assistance, organized activities to introduce Japanese culture to Vietnamese students, and engaged in 120 hours of classroom teaching per 4 weeks, including class time (20 hours per week), lesson preparation, and extracurricular activity organization. In addition, they also participated in various activities with UEF students, such as visiting businesses, historical sites in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as extracurricular activities together.

Representatives from Abroader Limited Liability Company also expressed their gratitude to UEF for providing favorable conditions for APU students to successfully complete the internship program.


The APU students summarized their internship reports and concluded their memorable time at UEF


The meetings, exchanges, and direct practice with Japanese students have helped UEFers enhance their language skills and gain a better understanding of Japanese culture. Through this, international friends also witness the dynamic, open-minded, and hospitable nature of UEF students. With this internship program, it is hoped that the experiences at UEF will become unforgettable memories for APU students.
