SEPTEMBER 15 - The Faculty of Languages and International Cultures held a workshop “Recruitment in Japan” for Japanese Language majors to experience workplaces, enhance their Japanese abilities, develop practical skills as well as seize employment opportunities in Japan.
UEF partners participating in this workshop included Dr. Huynh Trong Hien – Director of Cocoro International JSC and Ms. Phan Thi Ai Trinh – Deputy Director of Cocoro International JSC. From Japanese firms, there was Mr.Sakamoto Tadanobu – CEO of JTK Co., Ltd and Mr. Nishimura Akihiko – Manager of Ando Resort.
The workshop “Recruitment in Japan” brought much valuable information to UEFers
From UEF, the workshop had Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngo Cao Cuong – Permanent Vice President, Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than – Dean, Faculty of International Languages and Cultures, Mr. Huynh Quoc Phong – Director, Center of Corporate Relations, and Ms. Huynh Tu Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngo Cao Cuong emphasized the importance of the workshop
To start the workshop, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngo Cao Cuong highlighted that discovering the Japanese working environment and culture would help UEFers easily approach and adapt to a new workplace.
During the workshop, UEF students studied recruitment and internship programs in Japan, including such programs as technical intern training, internship, study abroad, Kaigo, engineering, etc.
In the technical intern training program, a variety of professions within mechanics, food, garment and textile, and packaging are on offer, opening more career opportunities for UEFers.

UEFers actively asked questions to guests
After listening to the guests’ sharing, UEF students put lots of questions to Japanese companies’ representatives about language certification requirements, soft skills needed in the service industry, tips for a successful interview, etc.
By virtue of the guests’ introduction to recruitment and internship programmes in Japan, UEFers could understand the requirements and find a suitable study path to better grasp job opportunities in an international environment.
