Over the two days of DECEMBER 20 and DECEMBER 21, UEF convened INCOSEF 2025 – the International Conference on Sustainable Economics and Finance with the theme: “Sustainability in the Digital Transformation”, an international scientific symposium concentrated on deliberating the pivotal issues of economics, finance, and sustainable development within the landscape of digital business transformation. The conference gathered exceeding 150 scientists, specialists, and lecturers, both domestic and international, establishing a multi-dimensional academic exchange forum rich in scholarly value and practical implications.
With the objective of fostering awareness and scientific solutions aiming to balance economic growth, technological innovation, and sustainable development, INCOSEF 2025 concentrates on globally contemporary themes such as digital transformation, sustainable finance and ESG, data and artificial intelligence, green technology, the circular economy, governance and policy, digital ethics, as well as the development of skills and human capital for the future. Through this, the conference aims toward bridging research with practice, contributing pertinent managerial and policy implications for enterprises and developing economies.

Sharing at the event, Dr. Ngo Minh Hai stated that the international conference INCOSEF 2025 convenes a vast multitude of researchers worldwide with 150 scientific papers, from over 30 nations. The speakers at the symposium rank among the top researchers in AI, sustainable finance, technology, social responsibility, and so forth. The conference unveils numerous opportunities for collaboration and researching practical issues within the landscape of green transition and digital transformation. Furthermore, Ho Chi Minh City is oriented toward becoming an international financial hub, thus the theme of sustainable economics and finance at the conference is highly pertinent to the general context.
INCOSEF 2025 was organized with a rigorous academic structure, encompassing plenary sessions and numerous in-depth parallel sessions spanning two working days. The inaugural conference day opened with opening and keynote sessions, concentrating on analyzing the global economic-financial landscape, the role of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, ESG, and green finance in adapting to uncertainty and climate change.
The subsequent parallel sessions probed extensively into thematic clusters such as digital transformation and business innovation, sustainable finance and ESG integration, data - AI for sustainable development, green technology and climate innovation, inclusive growth, global trade, supply chains, and the circular economy.
Moving into the second working day, the conference continued focusing on issues of a long-term strategic nature such as governance, policy and institutional trust, digital ethics, privacy and responsible innovation, digital governance, future skills development, and educational transformation. Particularly, the “Meet the Editors” session created opportunities for researchers to engage directly with editors of international scientific journals, contributing to enhancing scientific publication capacity and connecting the global research community.
Within the framework of INCOSEF 2025, UEF staff and lecturers actively participated in presenting and co-authoring numerous scientific research works, making substantive contributions to the international academic forum. Prominent are two reports by Dr. Ngo Minh Hai, focusing on the role of ESG in mitigating global financial market volatility and the relationship between innovation culture, transformational leadership, and corporate performance in Vietnam.

Additionally, Dr. Majo George presented research on the application of Construction 4.0 technology aimed at enhancing the sustainable operational efficiency of enterprises in developing economies. Meanwhile, M.A. Vo Hong Son – Head of the Economics Department – International Institute also participated in presenting with interdisciplinary research in tourism – behavior – sustainable development. The report focused on analyzing the challenges of balancing between economic development, environmental conservation, and preserving cultural identity at rural tourism destinations, simultaneously clarifying research gaps pertaining to tourist perceptions regarding sustainable development initiatives and the manner in which these perceptions translate into specific behaviors.
