IEF – The common house of UEF international exchange “nuclei”

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance is known as an international standard university of high quality of learning environment with numerous academic and culture exchanges conducted with leading universities around the world. 

IEF is welcoming students from University of Pittsburgh (U.S.A.)
 

Aside from international semesters in Hungary, Korea, United Kingdom…, the annual activities namely academic exchange programs conducted with University of Pittsburgh (U.S.A.), Bangkok University (Thailand), SEGi University (Malaysia)… are considered wide-open chances for UEF students from every faculty to explore the people, the cultures and the languages of countries in the region as well as around the globe.

In order to successfully hold these exchange programs, the role of the volunteers who accompany such events is indispensable. IEF (International Exchange Friends) is among the most prominent voluntary clubs, providing UEF international ambassadors in charge of welcoming students from other countries.
Students who are members of IEF are also dedicated companions accompanying international students during their academic exchange programs in Vietnam. 

IEF has long been the “common house” for UEF students who are talented and enthusiastic about foreign languages. Members of the club also share matters on their study, experiences and living skills.
The president of the club is Tran Dinh Le Son – 2015 cohort, a prominent face with outstanding academic achievements and enormous confidence leading international exchange programs. Thanks to such activeness, Son acquired a lot of knowledge and experience from Plus 3 academic exchange program between UEF and University of Pittsburgh students, International Travel Expo (ITE) held by Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, being a volunteer welcoming SSEAYP, 4^th ASEAN Chief Justices’ Meeting, Viet – Laos – Cambodia Camping Tour, colloquy with Harvard women student leader… Son asserted the model of an international citizen with “Good Integration” ability as his target.
 

 

In compliance to UEF development strategy – constructing a model of international standard education and producing high quality workforce perfected with knowledge, skills, foreign language and integration ability, UEF always facilitates the conditions so that students can approach the education and cultures of advanced countries in the world. This is believed to be the ideal environment for IEF members in particular and UEF students in general to improve their professional competence, enrich their command of foreign language, perfect their soft-skills and get ready for world-class services.
