UEF’s biggest sports event of the year officially crossed the finish line

Moments that created a beautiful story

“The moment I lifted the championship trophy with my teammates is something I’ll never forget,” shared Pham Ngoc Thanh, captain of the volleyball team from the Faculty of Information Technology. For Thanh, the UEF Olympic was not only an exciting competition but also a journey of mental, physical, and emotional growth. From countless training sessions together, to carefully planned strategies, to the unspoken understanding in every play — all of it forged a united and resilient team.

As for Nguyen Trung Kien, captain of the tug-of-war team from the Faculty of Law, the proudest moment wasn’t about winning—it was about the team’s relentless efforts. “Each training session was tough and exhausting, but we kept going and never gave up. After the tournament, I learned a lot about responsibility, sharing, and the true value of team spirit,” Kien shared.

 

Meanwhile, Phan Bui Linh Nhi – a female badminton player from the Faculty of Marketing – emotionally recalled the moment she scored the decisive point and heard the cheers erupting from the stands. “I realized that just having the courage to step onto the court means I’ve already conquered myself. The UEF Olympics helped me learn to believe in myself,” she shared.

Fair play is the core value of a sporting arena
 

The spirit of sportsmanship goes beyond victories. For UEF athletes, fair play is reflected in every respectful glance, every handshake after a match, and every comforting hug—regardless of the outcome.

Nguyen Hoang Diem My, an athlete from the Aerobic team of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication, shared: “Fair play is when we congratulate our opponents after each performance, when we help each other up after a fall. It's kindness that spreads across the competition stage.” These small yet meaningful actions have turned the UEF Olympics into a space of connection and sharing, where winning is not the only thing celebrated.

The perspectives of Linh Nhi, Trung Kiên, and Ngoc Thanh are similar. It was a time when everyone gave their all in the competition, but never forgot that we are friends, teammates under the same UEF roof. Even though during the match they might have been opponents with a competitive spirit, once the match ended, it was all about heartfelt handshakes and the bond of friendship.

 

The season was energized by passionate supporters

Though not on the list of medal recipients, the supporters were the true “fire starters” of every match. Vo Phuc Hau – a student from the Faculty of Business Administration – shared: “Just one word of encouragement, one cheer, is enough to boost the athletes’ strength on the field. Giving it our all for our friends, for the colors of our Faculty, is also a part of the glory.”

Even though I wasn’t on the field, I still gave it my all to support the athletes spiritually,” Trung Hau shared.
 

As for Tran Thi Huynh Anh from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, her love for UEF was the driving force behind her passion for the Olympics: “I wanted to help create the most vibrant atmosphere so that every moment of this tournament would become an unforgettable memory of our student years.”

More than just a sports arena, Olympic UEF 2025 was a place where every student could challenge themselves, soar with emotion, and grow through each match. From the initial fears to the confidence of stepping onto the field, they continuously “scored” for themselves through effort, team spirit, and the drive to push beyond their limits.

That journey was marked by resounding victories and deep values of friendship, courage, and the pride of being part of the UEF student community. Olympic UEF 2025 came to a close, with every moment being truly worthwhile.
